Got a few quick pics of Pacey and Marshmallow  this morning… They are FINALLY getting along enough to be in the bunny room together as long as I am there.

I think Marshmallow has actually lost even more weight from the last pictures I posted of her she is quite lean now but still tries to pig out on anything and everything. I have to hide the dog and ferret foods from her or she will gnaw a hole in the bag to eat the food!

Pacey is still my little man he is sooooo lazy lol. I mean he actually looks like he could sigh when he has to get up and hop over to his food or water bowl. He does bunny 500’s around the bedroom though that scare my dogs to death because they are used to being around him when he wants to snuggle.

Really bad pictures but I had all of 10 minutes to take them

Lol the giant hay box (bottom of Marshmallow’s cage she came with)

What a couple of cuties! I love how lionheads look like they have no eyes.

Sonn, Marshmallow looks very good. Her ear looks just fine, at least I can hardly tell it was torn. She has slimmed down a ton! You have done a great job with her. It’s just amazing how she went from being a cat food-/ice cream-eating, overweight rabbit with a heart condition to this!
Marshmallow is my favorite rabbit adoption story on BB.

                    Thanks!

It has been difficult getting Marshmallow to where she is now. She still wants to eat everything in sight. I give her the pellets and her share of veggies and when they are all gone she flips the bowl and thumps and thumps and thumps then she will try to steal Pacey’s veggies between the bars lol. So she is fed on one end of the room and him on the other with a barrier in between.

AND you better not try to eat around her or she will hop right up into your plate to eat whatever it is you have no matter what it is. My little miss piggy.

I guess, you need to keep all feed stuff under lock and key. You know, though, my Deirdra is similar. She will steal pretty much any food if given the chance. She will yank it away like a little shark. She was slightly chubby when I got her and it took months to get her slim. She lost one lb over a six-month period. It was really mostly about exercise and reducing pellets. I read somewhere that weight loss in rabbits should be done very carefully and gradually as it can affect their liver negatively.

her chest was well-padded and the dew lap very large.

now she still has a dew lap but smaller and no more fat chest

I can’t be 100% sure but I have been told she is a Rhinelander or a Rhinelander mix I think a mix since she doesn’t really look like the Rhinelander pictures

Aw they are so cute! She does look thinner, and little Pacey is such the fuzzy man!

You should add some of your fish tank photos to this thread too. You know I am always dying to see them!

Pacey looks a lot fuzzier in person he freaks people out when he is loafing because they can’t tell which end is his head LOL.

Yeah apparently Marshmallow’s previous owner fed her a lot of things she shouldn’t have (chicken, cat food, crackers, ice cream, chips, sugary cereal, etc.). The shelter gave me a whole list of things to make sure she stays away from.

I have been trying to get pictures of my tanks =P but they are in awkward positions so it is very hard. The only one’s out in the open is my turtle tank and one of my Betta tanks both which are currently bare.
