I just got reminded by the new video gallery announcement that I took a video of Mr. Bunny playing some time ago. After 20 minutes of digging through files and e-mails, I found it!

I forget if I’ve ever shared this. I’m pretty sure I haven’t, and what I’m feeling is just de ja vu, so here you go. It might take a minute to load.

Original Video – More videos at TinyPic

(starring: Mr. Bunny. voices: me, my Mom)

Video was taken last Spring (2009), so plenty’s changed:

-the pants I was wearing got too tight ()

-Mr. Bunny got a little bigger (he was probably 5 or 6 pounds there, now he’s 7 pounds)

        -My voice got significantly lower

-The litter box has been replaced

        -He got a skin condition

-He chewed apart a lot of the small toys you see in that video…and the hay holder (the blue tube is still ok)

He’s so pretty – what has happened about his skin condition? Any revelations from the vet?

His specialist appt. was going to be today, but unfortunately, we had to delay it to be next week. He’s still getting rashy bald spots, and they’re getting bigger, but at least they’re not making him hide out like they did some weeks ago..

How cute is he?? He’s gorgeous.

I hope his skin heals soon.

I hope the specialist can help. Poor Mr. Bunny. I had a friend who’s rabbit has pseudomonas and she did Revolution, pen-g shots, baytril a variety of medications and it finally went away. I’ll email her and get more information. Just makes me think of Mr. Bunny now that I am thinking about it.

Hmm, really Sarita? We’ve given him fungus cream, 3 ivermectin shots, 2 or 3 (I always forget) oral extra-strong ivermectin doses, 3 kitty selemectin treatments…all that type of stuff. I’m really hoping that the specialist won’t just tell me it’s fur mites and send me off with 3 more ivermectin doses like my regular vet. ._.

I do know she did alot of ivermectin shots too. She was totally frustrated like you are. I just emailed her and I’ll let you know what she says. It might be something you can ask the specialist about to see if it’s a possibility.

Yeah, I’d be really interested in what she has to say. I’m quite certain it’s not fur mites, (despite what my parents seem to want to convince me o.o) but I’m really not sure what it is…so I’m open to anything that I should be asking the vet next week.

FluffyBunny, my friend replied that Dickens indeed has Pseudomonas and she has had him on baytril for 6 weeks and it’s finally staring to clear up. His symptoms were dry patches on the inside and edges of his ears and they are slowly starting to clear up. The vet said it could take several months to heal.

Something to at least ask the specialist about.
