Nervouse and wanted to vent!

So, we are having a an electrician come over today while my husband and I are at work, so I had to put Hatter (a free ranger) into the bathroom today. I put his cage a hidey box and his litter and toys in there but I am so worried that he will suddenly “hate” me for it. I’ve been working really hard with him for the past two monthes and his trust in me is amazing. I’m just afraid that he will suddenly NOT trust me…I know all of this is silly but I just needed to vent…..Thanks for reading

Well, if he’s like my rabbits, he’ll appreciate that you’ve put him in a safe place while the electrician is there. He may be more confused though than mad if it’s a change in his routine too. Hopefully your Hatter will be fine and continue to trust you.

The fun thing is that when your bun is miffed at you, you’ll get the butt, you’ll get a foot flick but once they’ve decided that you realize the folly of your error, they’ll turn right around and love you all over again.

thank you for the encouraging words!! I am fully prepared for “the butt” and foot flicks. When I called my husband and told him how upset I was I had to do it (I’m pathetic for my bun, I know) he told me that it is just an “adventure” for him. *whatever*  Only 4 more hours of being in there and then I get to go home and accept my punishment….

I bet your bunny sees you as the one who saves him and is overjoyed to see you. I though one of mine really hated me til we went to the vet for the first time. She actually turned and jumped into my arms and hid under my chin and was much nicer to me from then on…lol

I honestly don’t think he’s going to punish you at all! Like your husband said, he probably thinks it’s an adventure to be in a new place with new stuff to explore.

Erm…not to wig you out but…what happens if Mr. Electrician needs to go potty while he’s there? 0_o

This is why I’m so glad the hub can do his own repairs…no need to call in strangers who would irritate my precious charges. (bunnies, cats, nervous new dog, grouchy daughter…lol)

OK!!! Well, thank you for everyone who read this an gave me encouraging words…I got home yesterday and opened the bathroom door and Hatter practically jumped in my arms. He wasn’t scared, just excited I guess to see me. Long story short, he doesn’t hate me and we are still friends. Although I did get “the butt” a couple of times….hahaha….sorry for my silly nervousness, but again, thanks everyone!
