This guy is HUGE!  4 feet 3 inches long and 50 pounds.  Oh and is insured for $1.6 million.  Wow.  Lol.  I want a bunny that big!

I’m not sure what to think of his owner, she’s interesting…he does look like he has some problem with his eye too.

He is a beauty though. I do wonder what kind of special food it is that she is feeding him besides his veggies.

I didn’t notice the eye.. maybe it shows up better in the video (which I haven’t watched yet). Hahaha his owner looks like a character…

I was wondering about his diet too…. all those carrots and apples seemed like too much sugar. And cabbage is a “gassy” veggie….

But regardless, I would love to have a bunny that big

Also, i think it’s funny that you guys posted all the things I thought about while I was watching the video – concern for the bunny’s diet, eye, handling, etc. I love my crazy bunny people.

I totally don’t think he’s 50lbs. Is it just me? He looks like he’s in the 30-40lb range.

I got a little upset by how the kids were dropping the baby (all bunnies are babies to me!!) …

The lady actually become a bunny herself.. LOL!!
I guess that isn’t as bad as my room full of BUNNY STUFF!!

When I get older and have a better job, I do plan to get a Flemish Giant. They are SOOOOOOOOOOOO warm and lovely. My boyfriend said as long as I take care of it myself.. but he still seems a little hesitant.

The people on the show were saying “Is it healthy for a rabbit to get that big?” I guess they haven’t ever seen a Flemmie before..

Ok, while we’re on the topic of size… look at how adorable this littlle guy is! And some of us have bunnies bigger than him

Well the tiny horse is kind of cute but in a freaky way. His owners do look like they take very special care of him though.

It does make me sad to see these things – it’s just like some kind of contest to see who can get bigger or smaller. It’s not natural.

Awww I don’t think he’s freaky. Then again, I’m obsessed with horses

I know some people are irresponsible about breeding to win the “contest” and get their animals in the Guinness book of records, and I definitely don’t condone that, but supposedly this particular horse is healthy and shows no signs of dwarfism.

I remember the Texas State Fair always had a little miniature horse as an attraction when I was a kid. It was something you had to pay tickets to see too, I think. Weird random memory.

Barbie, he doesn’t show dwarfism? Interesting. Do you know the genes that contribute to mini horses in general? I’ve never looked into it, I just know that mini horse people are adament that they are miniature horses, not ponies.

Personally, I think full sized horses are much more handsome 😛

Ok fair enough, the big ones do look much more graceful

Hm. Former ‘supermodel’ is upset because bun has the limelight?

Geeze…the world is choking on people who have to get their 15 minutes anyway they can.

Beautiful bun though. And that little horse…oh dear…reminds me of an old cartoon I used to watch…not Deputy Dawg but the one with the white horse as a sheriff…(I just remember the horse’s alter-ego…El Kabong! AHA, just Googled it…Quick Draw McGraw!) they had some ‘miniature horse rustlers’ that he was trying to track down who were stealing these little horses the height of someone’s ankle and I’ve wanted a tiny horse ever since I saw that. Never realized there were miniatures until some years ago. By then I found out how allergic I am to them.

I agree Mimz… the whole thing about her being a supermodel and the bun taking away the spotlight. I would be happy to share a spotlight with my bunny!

Haha, she was being playful about the spotlight comment. She got a ton of publicity after her surgeries last year… I remember that. She’s famous for wanting to be Jessica Rabbit, for bob’s sake!

Having a fifty pound rabbit would be mind-boggling. Just seeing how much my rabbit eats and poops in a day and he’s just under six pounds.Thinking about him times 9! Holy crap!
