My friend’s house has a huge and old oak tree in the back and of course, many squirrels.  A couple days ago a baby squirrel showed up, chirping noises and came right up to another friend and started climbing up his jeans.  I have no idea how old, but seems a bit unsteady and is now staying under her deck in the back.  During the day it suns itself on the brick walkway.  She’s been giving him some unsalted sunfower seeds, blackberries & yesterday a little corn-on-the-cob.  Anyone have any experiences with suggestions on how or if to feed or care for it?  It appears healthy and is DARLING!  It’s body is about 4-5 inches long & the tail is fairly full.  I’m hoping to remember to get a picture tomorrow.

I would google or call your local SPCA or Humane Society to ask about instructions for caring for an orphaned squirrel, assuming it is abandoned. I just tried to google instructions for you but I got a pop up website that I don’t trust so didn’t want to link it here. (I didn’t google spca yet.)

Any local wildlife rescue shelter will be able to tell you what to do.
