My Mom was in the feed store the other day and the woman who brought in the rabbits was there too.  My Mom asked her want breed Tansy was and she said that Tansy was from a Mini Rex and Lop cross litter.

So, I guess that would explain her agouti coloring and her body shape.  Half and half rex and lop.

I was kind of hoping she would be a little bigger, so my cat would (hopefully) see her as a friend and not as a snack, but she will only be about 4 pounds as an adult.  Oh well, she is easier to pick up and snuggle this way.

Just introduce them slowly. Our smallest bunny is our latest addition, Carbun the Netherland Dwarf that we became home to last year. All our cats were well used to bunnies before we got him, but even though he’s way smaller than any of the other bunnies they still don’t look at him as a toy. Although every now and then Sierra will try to interest him in playing, but she does that with the other bunnies too. They look at her and you know they’re thinking “why is this stupid cat on her back on the floor waving her paw at me?”

I wouldn’t worry about the size of your bunny.  My household has two kitties — both Ragdolls.  Ragdolls are the largest cats recognized by the CFA and my boy is more than twenty-one pounds (YA RLY!).  Despite how ginormous my cats are the bunny is definately the boss of the household.  Then again, my boy is a big scaredy-cat so your mileage may vary.
