        Hello everyone,

My roommate and I came up with several ideas to store hay for my guinea pigs. All the hay storage and racks didnt success because guinea pigs tend to pull them out of the rack or storage and pee on hay.

We came up with new idea to store hay. I am not sure what it is called but it is for like hand-wash dishes rack. It was perfect until guinea pigs are smarter than us. They shaked it so hard until all hay came out of the rack. We have to waste a lot of hay because they will not eat infected hay (guinea pigs pee on hay)

Anyone have better idea to store hay so that is easy for guinea pigs to eat and not to waste any hay? Please share. Thank you!

I gave up on hay racks for my two piggies too, they’re just too smart. I’ve wound up keeping one corner of their pen in coastal hay and put their handful of timothy beside it. They poo and pee the coastal a lot, and waste a bit of the timothy, but now most of the timothy is eaten. (I can’t really say ‘waste’ because the soiled hay makes great compost in the flower beds.
