In the evenings, I usually lay on the floor with my laptop in front of the tv, so the bunnies and I can hang out.   They usually just come visit me as they please, and give me some kisses and hop onto my back.  Both like standing on my back and periscoping from there.  Like the additional 6 inches they get by standing on my back really helps   Anyway, I kind of enjoy it, it’s like a mini massage

Well recently, they figured out that in the evenings I keep the tupperware container with their pellets on the coffee table – I feed them by hand in the living room in the evenings, and I bring the pellet container out so I remember.   I fed them earlier this evening and for some reason didn’t bother to put the lid back on.  I also happened to be laying right next to the coffee table tonight.  They were both periscoping on my back – trying to reach the table and get to the pellets, since they could see and smell them.  I watched them for a bit, but neither seemed tall enough to reach it, so I just thought it was amusing.

Little did I know, they were plotting something… Leroy made one last valient attempt and somehow, he was stretchy enough to reach all the way to the middle of the coffee table, grabbed the ege of the container and flipped it down on my head and my laptop!  And since the lid wasn’t on, all the pellets came spilled out and the bunnies just went at it like they were starving!  Hehe.  I had to take some pictures because it was funny, but man… I was down to the bottom of that bag, so there weren’t too many pellets, but there was a bunch of pellet dust in the bottom of the container that of course got embedded in the carpet.  I scooped up Leroy and Jeannie and put them in the other room so I could pick up the pellets and vacuum, but I know they can still smell the pellets in the carpet.. both are still over there nosing around to try to find a stray pellet.

Anyone else have any silly stories about their bunnies recently?  (I know there was a similar thread a little bit ago, but for the life of me, I couldn’t find it!)

            Uhm, yeah, I do!

So the other day I had bought these cartons of juice that do not need to be refridgerated until opened so I put them in our pantry that doesn’t have doors yet-husband hasn’t finished it. So these cartons were on the floor all lined up because I had bought several. I never thought much about them because why in the world would a bunny ever smell juice thru a thick carton?

So I heard Carrera’s little fingernails on the wood floor in the kitchen and I could hear her in something. I had left a grocery paper bag in the floor so I thought that is what she was messing with. But she was over there in the pantry forever so I went to check.

The floor was COVERED in JUICE! She had chewed holes in like 3 of the containers and the juice began pouring out onto the wood floor! So, we learned our lesson and put them up on a shelf she couldn’t reach. Sticky and smelly floor. lol And the smeill still lingered for a little while which meant all the buns had to come check it out to see if they were missing anything.

Sometimes, she is just too smart for me! She always finds the “holes” in my bunny proofing plans! Always! LOL

Sneaky bunnies!!! Haha. Nothing stands in the way of pellets 😛

Otto’s been pretty cute lately about going to bed. We keep him out in the living room, and when it’s time for bed I go off to make his dinner. He won’t run back across the floors, but he knows to jump up into the second level of his maze haven (aka the Spaceship) and wait for me to carry him back to his cage. Lately, he’s been really impatient – he jumps up to the second level immediately (like as soon as I go into the kitchen for anything, even if it’s just a glass of water), then sticks his head out through the hole in the top and looks around for me until I come and get him. He looks so impatient and disapproving! “Come and get me slave! It’s time for my noms!”

And I know what that pellet dust is like. I accidentally set a big bag of pellets on the ice scraper in the trunk of my car. By the time I got home there was a big hole in the bag and a nice little pile of pellets. You can still see where some of the dust is stuck in the carpet of my trunk.

Does stretching out to be 2.5 feet tall and eating 30 raisins while your human is out count?

Ah…and you  can’t beat the look on the human’s face when they wake up from the non-stop licks on their face.

Last night Pepper hopped up at bedtime to get her pettins before we both went to sleep. Apparently she thought I stopped pettins too soo, because she NIPPED ME!

Well, I THUMPED back at her, rolled over and went to sleep.  A couple of hours later I woke again when she again hopped up, and I forgived her.

*giggles* I’m still trying to figure out how Mimzy got ahold of the roll of paper towels that was (I SWEAR!) NOWHERE near the side of his pen a few weeks ago and chewing up most of three whole sheets before I realized what he had going on.

Sneaky buggers. It’s a lucky thing for them they are so cute…how can one stay mad at these faces??

OMGOSH! I just got PEED on!!!!!

I was laying on the couch tonight with my computer. Leroy jumped up and was crawling on my back…. and then I felt something very warm through my t-shirt… he peed on me! And of course, it got all over the couch. And since I have long hair, of course, my hair got peed on… ick. I don’t know what came over him! He’s never done that before, but it seemed very intentional. Jeannie was trying to climb up on my back to join him.. I think Leroy was marking me! Blech.

Thank good ness for white vinegar   My couch is all clean now!  And my clothing is in the wash

My hubby woke up this morning to Moose having climbed his 2 story NIC condo. Moosie was sitting on his roof staring down at Monkey’s cage beside him, trying to figure out if it was safe to jump down… of course, thats when hubby went in their area to see him, and Moose dove off into his pen again.

Theres now another little wall of grids at the top of Moosie’s cage

Barbie, I have been doing some intense reading on reasons rabbits might pee outside the box. One thing I just read might explain Leroy’s recent peeing. Spring! It can still effect neutered buns hormones and now with 2 females in his life plus the new season, this could have been why he peed?
                                Commiserations!

btw, disapproving rabbits has a vid up of Cinnamon trying to get to pellets. Reminded me of Leroy and Jeannie’s effort.

Yes, they’ve been learning from each other.. Monkey has been copying him too. Moose likes sitting in one corner of his cage for naps.. and Monkey has taken to sitting in the same corner in her cage. Its cute
