Geez, Lola started blowing her coat today and it looks like a white snowstorm when she runs through the room. I had to catch her and give her a bunny butt bath because she had an icky wad of poo and cecals plastered to her behind and the towel and I are covered in white now too.

So now she’s pounting under the wood stove drying out trying to make me feel bad. She’ll come out to make sure I’m aware she’s giving me stinkeye and then goes back. She didn’t bite me this time for a change but I’m sure she’s plotting revenge.

She’s going to hate this one of her freshly bathed bunny butt. (we kinda slipped on both our diets during Hershey’s illness)

I think she’s being a bit overdramatic because she loves an excuse to come in by the stove.

lolz…She looks a bit tiffed, that’s for sure.
A woodstove, huh? Wow, I’d be too scared to let our buns near ours, because that sucker burns hot.
She sure is pretty! Even if she is pouting.

she thinks she is the queen of the house and know one should tell her what to do.

Ha! I can totally see Zinnia staring me down to make sure I see her pout before she turns around to give me bunny butt for giving her a bath. I’m sure you are appropriately subdued now that she’s scolded you. :0)

What is surprising about the stove is that the bottom and around the legs is relatively cool, it pulls the cooler air in the room under there then the air rises as it heats. Yeah, above the legs is steaming hot but they’ve all learned not to touch it. When Lola and Daisy’s condo was in the living room I’d come in and see 5 sets of bums and back feet sticking out (3 cats and 2 buns) but the hottest spot is directly in front of it. They will lay there on the rug until I’m afraid someone will burst into flames.

Lola’s still being snitty this morning. Must be good to be queen.

Holy cow…I don’t know if I want to ask how they found out it’s not to be touched! 0_o
Shhh…don’t let that coat blowing talk get around to Fiver…I’m having a hard enough time dealing with just daily brushing right now. >.<

don’t worry mimzmum, I don’t think anyone touched the hot part of it. it’s pretty intense there even 18 inches away so it’s too hot to get too close there higher up. One cat tried it when I first got it. I was building small fires and encouraging them to come close and check it out so they’d realize it was hot and the little cat inched up slowly until her whiskers singed and she’s never tried it again. I always kept a close eye on Lola and Daisy when they hung out there every evening and checked their ears and noses but I think they’re smarter than the cats…

lolz…What a picture that would’ve made for icanhazcheezburger:

Cat: Come close to the hot thing, bunny says…feels gud she says….*sizzle*
                        Lola: lolololol……
