This is the shelter that I adopted Schroeder from- although he was housed at a pet store and not he actual shelter itself.

All 14 bunnies were neutered or spayed, and were available for $40 for females, $20 for males.- and 4 bunnies were adopted during the 4 hour event.

That’s a great article! Hopefully it’s helped people realize that there are bunnies at the HS and they’re not disposable pets.

That’s great that they are spreading the word in your area.

My local Humane Society has a larger than normal number of rabbits right now. Usually, they only have about 4 or 5 at the most and now they have well over a dozen and they are spreading the word that they urgently need supplies for rabbits and guinea pigs. I have a box of bags of hay and things that I’m putting together to try and help them out. It would be great if they could get some media attention.

That is excellent! BTW, did you read the comments at the bottom of the article. If you haven’t, DON’T. They will upset you.

Oh gosh- there are some terrible crazies that obviously take pleasure in posting negative and rude comments to what was supposed to be a nice story! I had not read the viewer comments- I wish they would not have those possible discussions about articles- as there is always some jerk that will say something awful about whatever the story is about.

I read them. I always regret reading them. I think a shelter person had last say anyhow.
Katnip, do you know why the adoption fee is different for Does and Bucks?

edit: Oh, I think I got it figured.  Is it because a spay is more $’s so that’s a way to recoup some of the money?  Still, I would like to see at –  say $30 for both sexes.  Equal Opportunity and all that.
