After weeks of lurking I decided it was only polite to introduce myself and my sweet Mellow. He is about 7-7.5 months old and a good boy. I am a teacher and he goes to school with me most days. Before you get upset about that, let me explain that I teach high school ESL and only have 5 or 6 students at a time. Since I take him to school, he gets about 8 or 9 hours of free run and interaction time. He interacts with the students on his own terms, (i.e. for treats and pets) . He has a cage that he uses only for potty, privacy and hay time. We do not bother him if he is in there. He is really good with his litter habits at school, but not so much at home. The students have taught him to 'stand up', come when called, and now we are working on 'spin around'. If I can figure out the picture thingy, I will download a pic or two. Thanks for this site!! It has been immensely helpful.
Thanks! Those of you who saw the hay pics will note that I can resize my pictures now!! Thanks so much for the welcome and for the info on this site!
Thanks! It is great for him and great for the students. I have incorporated a ton of language learning activities in that include the bunny! For instance, we are reading pages from Rabbits for Dummies to learn how to adequately take care of him.
How precious! I love the ring around his eye!!!!!! Beautiful. You must be so happy to be able to take him to work! Wish I could do that!!!!
Otto and Mellow look a lot alike!
