Helllooo Everyone,

Just thought I would introduce myself.

I am from Australia and a few days ago I got my first rabbit His name is Oliver and he is a black mini-lop. He is 10 weeks old and he is absolutely gorgeous. Not that I am biased or anything

He is settling in very well.

Thanks!

He is pretty laid back. His confidence is growing day by day.

Do you think it would be better for him to have a little friend?

Is he neutered? If not, he can't have a friend just yet. If he is neutered, you could start looking for a spayed female buddy for him (the male-female bond is typically the easiest).

Bonding can be very easy or very very difficult (or anything in between). I would suggest reading some threads in the bonding section and reading the info on bonding before attempting it. Definitely not something to jump into lightly!

I'm sure Oliver is perfectly happy with your company and attention, so don't feel pressured to get him a friend. Plenty of us have happy only bunnies.

He is gorgeous. Congratulations on getting him. And welcome to the forum.

Well, I'd recommend anyone to have more than one bunny, but I also think you should spend some time getting to know him before you add a new one. Bond with him and find out what kind of personality he has. That also makes it easier to find him a good friend if you decide to do that.
