I was just complaining about getting the bunz fur off fleece prior to laundering & thought MAYBE someone has an answer short of lint brushes & vacuuming (which is kinda hard to do without sucking up the blanket).  Lainey has a VERY thick coat & her white fur sticks to the fleece BIG TIME.  Right now we are converting our dryer from electric to gas so we have to hang everything until we get a new dryer (hopefully only a couple more weeks).  Any good “tips”???

I find that generally throwing it in the washer and drier gets rid of most of the hair, but since you don’t have a drier I would try using duct tape or a lint roller to get as much off as you can before washing. Sorry I don’t have any other brilliant ideas!

Most of the fur comes off when I wash them too. I made a lot of blankets out of sheepskin, fleece and flannel and it all seems to come out pretty clean.

I’ve got a lint brush I use, not one of the ones with the tape like stuff, but an actual brush. The fur comes off of it great, you just wipe it off. Speaking of which, time to brush Moose’s blankie.

My secret to getting fur off Bindi’s fleece throws: Furminator. Works really great, just gently scrape it along the flat fabric. It works great on furniture and carpet too.

before you wash- wet your hands and rubs to try to get the fur to ball up and pick off that way- almost like you do with a shedding bunny!

I position my buns’ blanket a couple inches under the back two sides of the xpen, so only two sides are able to lift up. I stand on the sticking out corner and then I use my vacuum brush attachment on the hose and sweep it over the blanket. I do this every time I clean the pen to gather up the fur, and I’m able to only fully wash the blanket once every 2 weeks or so. I started putting the blanket under the xpen b/c they kept digging in the back corner. This has totally fixed the problem.

LPT, using the furminator is a great idea! I’ll have to try that on my rug.
