While cleaning out the bunny pens last night, I backed up against the rubbermaid tub and everything on it wobbled…I turned around just in time to notice one of their new boxes of garden herbs (the chamomile one from our store) had inched it’s way towards the edge of the tub and before I could catch it, it leaped to it’s demise on the floor..contents spilled everywhere! I was so angry with myself that I didn’t catch it in time, the bunnies really like these treats and I don’t have to worry about calories with them. *heads off to BB.com store to get more*

The worst part is I’ll have to bring the Shop Vac right into the bunny room to get it out of the carpet. They hate the noise it makes and I try to do as little vacuuming as possible in there to avoid spoooking them.

I hope this isn’t a harbinger of how the rest of my year is supposed to go.

          No, it’s not.
But I would have brought the bunnies into the room to gobble up some of the mess.

That sounds like something I would do I had to make a dinner for some friends of mine tonight, and I dropped pasta sauce on the floor, got tomato juice on my shirt, and got mozzarella cheese stuck to the oven…I know how those days can be.

I’m a klutz, too. I spilled hot plum sauce today from a jar, some of which ended up on my dog’s head. I dropped a raw egg onto my basement floor (concrete, yuk!) this morning, and I wiped out in my yard on a patch of ice.

I’m uber clutz-it seems like when I’m concentrating trying not to be a clutz that it gets worse. I just accept it and enjoy the comical relief it brings others around me hehehe

Join the club – everytime I clean Buddie’s litterbox out – which is attached to his pen bars, so I have to bend down and lift the soiled stuff out & wipe it down – I have to do a balancing act to keep from stepping on his tunnel or his hammock or his hay box, with all the stuff that’s taking up room in there.  Sometimes I do step on the edge of something and I feel like such a klutz!  The other day I stepped on his hay box and tipped it over knocking most of the hay on the floor.  He was over there like a shot “protecting” his hay from being scooped up.  Sometimes he nips my fingers while I’m picking debris off his floor.

lolz…aw, you guys are sweet. Pam, I don’t know that I would’ve wanted them to eat off this floor, it’s not the cleanest. Plus I spilled A LOT of the stuff, and there would’ve been three little upset bunnies tummies on my hands if I had. I only feed them a few leaves here and there, since except for Mimzy there is a delicate balance when it comes to even the healthy treats. I really did try to salvage some, but it was pretty much scattered, sadly.
Kay, I know how you feel! My bunny room is so packed since it’s just a little cubicle really, I have to wedge myself in to get around to their pens. This is why I exercise them in another room, where there’s a safer floor and less to clean if they mess it up! But I’m hoping to change their habitat to a one room condo at some point, if I ever get them all bonded and Mimzy stops sneezing all the time, so that they feel a little less confined and there’s not a distance between the safety of their pens and their exercise pen. Right now I have to carry them to and fro…it would be nicer to just open a door and let them go free!

Yah…ugh…I really have to empty this house. It’s a clutter barn. >_< It's on my To Do list.

Petzy, I know that feeling too. I can remember the night I hit the ice hard (flat on my back and banging my head) in Taiku’s dog yard….I can still see him on top of his doghouse looking at me like, “You dumb human, why do you think I’m up here? That’s stuff’s not SAFE!”

Not all animals are as smart as your dog then. Neigey is a bunny klutz. This video is from an earlier quartet session before he was cemented.

Oh, the klutzy Neigey video isn’t working for me!

Mimz, you’re not the only klutz. I found a big bruise on my bum this morning and have no idea how it got there. I also had about 3 on my legs last week and hubby was making fun of me. Apparently I’m a big klutz, but I don’t ever remember doing klutzy things – I just get the bruises 😉

Oh, and PS, I loved the cute little bun things you sent me on FooPets! So adorable! They need to get bunnies on that website.

Oh don’t they just? ^_^ You couldn’t keep me away from there if they did! And you’re very welcome!
I get tons of bruises all the time. I keep trying to figure out who’s sneaking in with a baseball bat in the middle of the night when I’m asleep.

I didn’t get the vid to d/l for me at first either..seems to be coming in now though. ^_^

Oh my i want a foo pet bunny, they need more variety Although, the amount of toys you’d need for them may take up the entire screen! lol

Lol Petzy. That was so cute. I love how he tries to look so normal afterwards – “I didn’t just fall! You didn’t see that!”

Otto can be really klutzy too. I move him around the house using his maze sometimes (with him in the top level) because he hates the hardwood. I was sliding it across the floor one day and somehow he fell butt first down the hole in the floor. Poor little guy was holding on with his front paws as hard as he could to avoid having to land on the hardwood floor. Lol.

It was mean to have that tile with the smooth side facing up. It was my mistake. Imagine wearing wool slippers on a polished flooring and then try to jump!

I have to say, Neigey holds his own with those other bigger bunnies…even your lionhead (sorry, forgot his name ) is a little larger than him and he just plows right through like a runaway train! 0_o
He is SO KYOOT! *sigh* Reminds me that I will HAVE to get video of Fiver doing his zooms around on the bed. He looks just like that, without the altitude adjustment!

yes, “plowing through”! –Mops is actually not a Lionhead but a mix of Giant Angora x Holland Lop and he weighs 5 1/2 lbs. He was aggressive to Neigey in the beginning, ramming into him buffalo-style and scaring him. I am very proud of Neigey that he didn’t let it affect him too much… like you said, Neigey holds his own.

This picture is a video still of Mops ramming into Neigey point-blank. I had to move the sessions between the two to a much more confined space because of this.

lolz…That has to be the worst spill ever, when the sweets fall down. Hubby has a bad way with plastic bags full of stuff (you know how you pull the bag apart from the top to open it?) Every time he tries to pry open something like cake or brownie mix, chocolate chips, bags of noodles and such; POW! The bag pops open and contents fly everywhere. I don’t let him near the kitchen anymore. >_<

EDIT: whoops…put the wrong post in here…lol…I really should just answer one thread at a time. *sigh*

Now I’m off to find some way to order scotchmallows. NOM.

I had saved Mops for last to bond because I wanted to get the harder bonds out of the way.  Then I discovered this side of Mops which I never saw before. Rabbits can be so unpredictable.

It’s funny, the first time Fiver ever got close to Mimzy he took a snap at him. (Nowadays they sit nose to nose with the pen door separating them and it’s the cutest thing!) Something I wouldn’t have expected from such a little bun and Mimzy wasn’t doing anything remotely threatening. Fiver just wanted him out of the space he was in. I was lucky it didn’t connect, I think Mimzy would’ve needed stitches and a blood transfusion because Fiver went for the jugular.
But that unsettled me enough to worry that, if I ever do try to bond them, there will be a fight one way or the other. Being so far from vet services makes me MUCH more nervous about this.

Petzy – hubby is convinced that Otto is the sweetest thing to ever walk the earth and that he wouldn’t even know how to fight if he had to (this started with a discussion that I thought Otto could kick our friends’ dog’s butt 😉 ) Anyway, he’s pretty confident that when we try to bond him he’ll be super sweet. I don’t know about that! He has just enough attitude that I wouldn’t put it past him. He may be sweet to us, but something about him says that he’s not totally submissive. Heck, I had very sweet gerbils who suddenly hated each other and drew blood twice before I finally separated them. The scariest part was that they only drew blood on the neck, so they were clearly going for the jugular! So I’m somehow not surprised that unassuming little Mops turned into a meany.

MB – The 5 second rule is key! Though I’ve found I’m much less ok with picking up wet-ish ingredients (piece of onion or pepper, for example) off the floor and throwing them back into the pot. Now it all has a coating of bunny hair and even I’m grossed out 😛 Dry things like chocolate can always be wiped off though! I’m totally with you on that. Though I haven’t heard of Maxfield’s either!

Here’s a random OT chocolate question – anybody had Wilbur’s? Specifically, they make chocolates that look just like Hershey’s kisses, but they call them Wilbur Buds. It’s an eastern PA chocolate company and I grew up with their chocolate. Looove it! It’s very unassuming and non-fancy, but for my money they’ve got the best milk chocolate out there. When I worked at a food company we occasionally sourced chocolate from them, so they sent the purchasing people a huge 15lb tin of chocolates for Christmas. Lucky me sat right next to the purchasing people and got to eat all of their chocolate 😀 I’ve even been to chocolate school! My yucky job did have its benefits.

We got our chocolate from the largest supplier and I got to visit their headquarters near Montreal. It was awesome!!!! Not only was Montreal a really cool city, chocolate school was awesome. I even learned to temper chocolate by hand, like real chocolatiers do. I know far more about chocolate than anybody should … lol
