Made this jewelry

My mom and I make jewelry, she sells it at craft fairs or to ladies at work. And we make them for gifts. I bought these beads last week at a bead shop, I hope she likes them. They are swarovski crystal and some sort of metal. The crystals look a lot darker than they are, they match the metal beads very well but…the cammera flash made the colors look strange.

I agree! They are really nice!! Are these for a Christmas gift? I think that something you have made yourself is the best kind of gift. So much more personal and thoughtful.

Yes they are for Xmas. She makes me really nice bracelet/earring sets for concert wear with black and white crystals for orchestra concerts. I mean it’s so hard to get people a gift when she could go out and get anything she wanted.

This is my favorite crystal bracelet. My mom bought me the supplies in thanks for watching the house during the day this past summer when our bathrooms were re-done. I had to make sure no dogs escaped since the carpenter was in and out all day.

 

This necklace my mom made for me, I wear it all the time for concerts.

 

Some bracelets and earrings I made.

The star crystals bracelet/earrings were from my birthday gift, mom gave me 50$ to spend at the bead store…crystals are so expensive..I did make 3 sets of earrings and that bracelet from it all, but sheesh!

A lil leafy green bracelet I made. It was my first thing I crafted…I’ve worn it…never yet lol

Wow, Lintini! You make really beautiful stuff. My sister is just getting into making jewelery, too, but she likes working with wires more than beads. I wish I had the creative vision to make visually beautiful things, but my artistic side doesn’t extend beyond theatre and writing. I’m so jealous… (Btw, your mom is going to love the gift!!)

I used to work for several photographers and they would photograph jewelry outside, but under shade so they didn’t have to use a flash. It was a great way to capture detail without a lot of glare and shadows behind the object.

Thanks everyone! I’ll have to try taking them in the shade to photograph them! I’ve actually never sold anything, but I love making things for gifts. I ask, “what is your favorite color?” And then go at it The bead stores are so overwhelming, so many ideas flow through my head and my oh my the stuff can be expensive…and it adds up. My mom prefers working with stone, and I like crystal and shells. There are so many gorgeous stones! I hope she likes it for xmas…I really was stuck what to get my family since my mom, dad, and brother all had there birthday about 5 weeks ago, and I spent an entire paycheck on them. I went for a lot less this time, motorcycle “tour” across the world book for my dad, hardcover with tons of pictures, and a sample coffee set from starbucks, the earrings/bracelet for my mom, and i got a motorcycle picture frame for my brother so he came frame a photo I took of him when my dad, me and him went on a ride to half moon bay together. I ride on the back with my dad though :p
