            thanks!!

i had charlie first and then saw jack and had to get him. i didnt know alot about bunnies and only had charlie for a few weeks, so i was under the impression that i could just bring jack home and put him with charlie. i had no idea that u had to bond them. i think i got lucky that charlie is dominant and jack is submissive (so far) and jack is younger so maybe he hasnt went through puberty yet? anyways charlie got really territorial with pooping and peeing and chinning everything. he also would not stop humping jack. jack couldnt even move bc there was charlie everywhere he went trying to get on him. i ended up keeping charlie in his cage and putting jack in the bathroom for the night. the next day i went out and got jack a cage and read every single thing about bonding as i could. since i couldnt put their cages right next to each other i put them accross from each other. i let them out at separate times. charlie would sniff jack through the cage when he was out and when jack came out he would sniff charlie. they pretty much sat by each others cages while they were out. it sort of looked like they were staying there to make sure the other one didnt get out lol. after a few days i let them out together. i think it went alot easier that time because they knew each others smell better. everyday i let them out together for a little while. i gave them veggies while they were out together to distract charlie from the humping. they never had any problems with fighting or being aggressive. the only problem was the humping. that is not so bad now. charlie still does it and when he does i tell him no or get him away from jack. i dont have them in the same cages yet. im waiting until february when i build them a nic cage and they still need to be nuetured so it will be after that too. i think i got really lucky that they bonded so easy like that. i have heard its hard to bond males. after i got jack i thought i made a huge mistake but now they love each other. i think if i ever do this again in the future i will try to get a boy and girl or definately make sure i have a submissive and dominant bunny. let me know if you want to know anything else about them bonding.

i was wondering if there is a name for charlies color pattern. his feet and tail all have gray tips and his ears are mostly gray now. they were pretty much pink when i got him. also his eyes are red. i know he is probably mixed with some kind of mini lop but does anyone know what kind he might be?

im pretty sure jack is a dwarf hotot mix.

Charlie’s color pattern is that of a Himalayan or Californian rabbit – albiet a very light coloring.
