We have all seen tons of pictures of itty bitty bunnies of all different colors and breeds. I have never seen an english lop bunny though. Those gorgeously long ears… I wonder if they are that long and crazy when they are a bunny and they grow into their ears, kind of like flemmies, or if it’s something that grows proportionately….

Katnip has an English Lop – hopefully she can tell you since she’s watched him grow up.

Not sure… but Katnip would definitely be the person to tell you… they are very cute!

I’m pretty sure you want an elops ears to be at least 21″ for show purposes, but longer is always better – so they grow along with the bunny, the bunny doesn’t really grow into them. Long adorable ears for life!

Hopefully katnip will pop in and post a picture of Griffin’s adorable ears.

I found this online once. I think they were babies from a Flemmie site, but they might be English lops. Aren’t they cute?

AHHHH!! HAHAHAH! That’s exactly what I was looking for! They are just like flemmies only their ears are floppy! I love bunnies who’s ears are too big for their bodies! The only thing with english lops though is that they never really grow into their ears! I would absolutely die for one!

I just realized I used a lot of exclamation points in this post…

Aside: I wish Abby & Rain’s new family would join BB and give us an update. I often wonder how they’re doing.

A friend I have who fosters buns from humane society  has taken in 2 EL’s.   She said they are so adorable sweet and friendly.   One of them was in terrible shape and was very patient with the doctoring of her feet.    Now that she is feeling better she has pulled off the bandage wraps lol.   They sound like adorable charactors.

OH I just had a thought.   I hope one of them isn’t  Adee’s or Adelaides EL’s she has to heartbreakingly part with.  I had seen her bun on a site I think petfinders or humane society link.  And in florida I think they are kind of rare.

If it was Adelaide’s she is in very good hands not to worry

They are so adorable. I would love to have an English lop at some point. As well as a flemmie Btw, Katnip posted pix some of Griffin

This was Griffin and his littermates at 6 weeks old (I think 6 weeks old)- it is hard to see- but on some of the babies you can see the long ears- they are not as ridiculously long as they soon start to get as they start maturing and their ears starting growing like mad before their body even seems to be able to catch up to the ears!
