I know this is not true for all families – but, mine has every thing they need.

Gift giving becomes tricky – So, J and I have decided to go a different route for the last few years: we give to a charity in our family’s name.

This year we have decided to Sponsor a Bunny!

Recently The Colorado HRS (who averages 130 rabbits at any one time) started this program. The idea being that you give the average cost of support for a bunny in the shelter for 1 month or many months. There is even a little card on the bunny’s pen saying that he is being sponsored by you or whoever you choose!

So if you are struggling over the idea of gifts – think about giving a bunny a gift in their name instead!

This is a great idea! I once had a friend sponsor a rabbit for me from the Farm Sanctuary – love Farm Sanctuary :~)

That’s a fantastic idea! My local dog and cat shelter has a similar program and the sponsors are allowed to come in and visit with their chosen animal and spend some quality time (even if they’re not a volunteer). It’s a great idea!

I think my cup runneth over myself…I have WAY too much and need nothing whatsoever.
Except that I wish I could rescue all the poor friendless bunnies in the world. Since I can’t do that, this sounds like the next best thing.
Thank you, Sage Cat, I’m going to look up a bunny in need.
