Hopefully the results for Cottons stuff will be available tomorrow.    The specialist has 2 more tests to run.  He goes to get his stitches out tomorrow afternoon.   Ahhh may this be something easy and not expensive to treat.

My Boo needs to be well

HE is still grooming on my shirt and digging.

Ruby is doing good as gorgeous as ever.

I still haven’t heard from my son.   I am going to call the police dept tomorrow in the city he lived in.  Maybe they can tell me something or look for him.    I am sure if he was in hospital he would have called.  This is not like him not to talk to me and not have his phone on.   He would have paid it by now.  Been 3 weeks already.

Heres hoping for some good news tomorrow

HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYBUN AND GIANT PINK HAIRLESS BUNNY SLAVES  LOL

BT, have you heard any news?

An idea: does your son use a computer and have Facebook?
A family member just went to send me a card and realized he had my old address, phone and email, so could only reach me via Facebook. He asked me to update him and now it’s fine.

Maybe your son is registered on Facebook or Twitter. You can do a search for him and see if he turns up there.

              How did Cotton do?

My son doesn’t have a computer.   Unfortunately.   I will call tomorrow.

Well…. as far as Cotton is concerned…. the results are   tadaaaaa    nothing.

INflammation was all that came up.     No fungus no rabbit syphillis  no infections or bacteria.  No histamines as in allergies. No auto immune issues.

Seems Cotton is going to have to live this way.   Me wetting his scab  then taking if off once it softens up and a bit of chlorhexderm  and do this 2x a month so it don’t swell up again.

His vet made a suggestion that I take his hay away for 1 week and feed vegetables and grasses and pellets but no more than a week to see if it is hay bothering him .

Well that is a bit expensive and I dont’ want him to be without hay.   Well at least I know I did all I can for him.   I looked up dr Lightfoot’s info and her and another person are avian and exotics experts.  They worked at a zoo too.

This has been a big dissapointment.  I was so lookin forward to a diagnosis and a cure.  Pffffff. I feel like I wasted 200.00 for nothing.  Well I have peace of mind I did what I could.    NO tossing and turning with what if’s tossing around in my  head keeping me up nites.

Poor Boo he had been so stressed thru all this.  He can feel better and relax now that I will start teaching him he has not to fear being picked up and meds stuck down his throat.  Just me now n then going after his scabs so he is confortable.

Poor BT & Cotton! Well, yes, it’s good it’s nothing ‘serious’, but it must be irritating for you both to not have anything specific. I know how you feel. (wipes Mimzy’s goobery bunny nose again)
I will keep you, Boo and your son in my prayers. I get itchy if my boy doesn’t call me from school at least a few times a week. He comes home by next Saturday though, so I will see him everyday again soon for a little while.
I hope all turns out well.

yes it is very upsetting no diagnosis.   I don’t want to pay for that 2nd biopsy now but I will.  It isn’t his vets fault.    I remember thinking what will a 2nd biposy show that the first one didnt’ .      well….. nothing.

Oh she did say that this is something rabbits with malloclusion may get.   Cotton doesn’t have malloclusion and his teeth have been checked 3x  and he doesn’t drool or chin stuff.

This has been very dissapointing to say the least.

Good news today I picked him up he did run a little but I  said lets go get a brushing    I say brushing a lot so he knows what to expect.  HE let me  pick him up w/out struggling this time.  Cool.

However I believe tomorrow I am going to wet his lip to soften the scabs so I can get them off.    He did hide from me for 2 days after coming back from the vets.  He was probably thinking oh gosh no here come the meds again.  Well he lucked out with that.  lol.  Even tho he hides he still comes for pettings in the evenings.   Atta boy Cotton.
