So, you can probably already guess what I’ll be posting about… Frankie got into something weird again and ate it.

This time, I came home from work and walked upstairs to hear a rustling sound. I looked into my extra room, and didn’t see anything. Then I realized the sound was coming from inside a cardboard box… I looked inside, and there was Frankie, munching away on packing peanuts. And of course, not just destroying them. Consuming them.

Some of the packing peanuts were the biodegradable kind, but some were styrofoam. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that he only ate the bio kind, but knowing him, probably not. I know he has a fixation with styrofoam, so I’m not too optimistic. I have no idea how long he was in there or how much he ate. My dad said he doesn’t think Frankie has been upstairs for more than half an hour, but that’s not very helpful.

I just gave him some pellets, hay, and parsley to get something else in his system to move it along. I’ll be keeping an eye on him tonight. I’ll keep you updated. Hopefully his stomach of steel pulls through

That sneaky Frankie!! Such a goofball. My bunnies wouldn’t even want to eat those packing peanuts, but leave it to Frankie to test everything out!

I also ditto to keep an eye on him and let us know if you use info that KK gave you and what they said.

              Sending “DIGEST PACKING PEANUTS” vibes.

Oh no! Frankie!! Are they the kind made from rice? If so that’s prob ok but he would have got a big carb intake. Lets hope with the choice or rice packing peanuts v’s styrofoam, he went for the edible kind. Get fluids into him too I guess…

Good news – he’s fine! It didn’t even seem to affect him! Last night he seemed really happy and today he hid out, but was eating and stuff with now problem. The hiding out was because my brother is here with his dog.

Poor Frankie! ((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))) Glad to hear all is well today. I would think a bunny sized muzzle for when you’re not in the room with him might be a good idea for a Xmas gift.
Or maybe just keep a little nosebag with hay in it on him at all times. Just like on a horse!
Hope he continues to do well!

oh frankie! packing peanuts? really?? silly boy!

reminds me of when baby nbun ate over a square foot of vinyl off of my retro turquoise swivel chair. i was so afraid that when she had surgery for her lumpectomy that a pile of turquoise vinyl would pop out. it some how miraculously passed through her system just like frankies packing peanuts. thank goodness!
