Kaytee did something to their timothy hay.  They added mint.   Ruby loves it.  Cotton is his usual picky self.  He will eat it I saw him picking at it.  HE kept sniffing it and sniffing it then finally took a piece.   HE seemed pleased with it.

They both like mint so I figured they just might like timmy hay with mint.    Hurrah.

Has anyone else seen it or tried it?

I found it at Petsmart.  I like them better cuz the pet store down the street is a chain store but this one doesn’t have but 3 varieties of hay.  Petsmart has a lot.   So I go there after I got my flu shot.

I haven’t tried it but my bun loves mint.  I grew spearming, peppermint and applemint in containers this summer and she adored them.

Plus minty-fresh bunny breath is wonderful

That’s what I feed Winston. Didn’t know it was new, it’s just we bought when we got the bunny

I nearly had a heart attack when I stopped at PetCo to pick up some hay. They’re closer to home so it was easier than driving across the city. The hay there was $9.99!!! I had originally seen it at PetSmart for $5.99. I guess it depends on where you buy it. We still keep talking about trying it instead of actually buying some, but I think we’ll try the marigold one first. (Also comes with carrots.) We’re gonna get a big bag of hay and mix it with the little bag to make one expensive bag go a long way.

I just bought a half of bail of timothy for 8 bucks and I haven’t made a dent in it and I have been using it in the babies full size litter box and guinea pigs one and still…no dent. It’s like super compact! I’ll have to check out that minty hay when this is all used up.

I like to buy a large quantity at the tractor supply    We get a bale from there.   I also get some other types of hay from the pet store so they have variety.

Thats funny jhulb   you didn’t knwo it ws new hehehee.

Hey someone mentioned marigold in the hay too.  I have to find some of that.    Was that also with timmy  hay too?

I have the mint stuff for monkey, she only gets it once in awhile as a treat hay instead of getting it every day
