I think the leaves & flowers are OK for bunnies. I know people can have them in salad. They taste a little spicy to me but I’ve heard bunnies like radish so…..

        Has anyones bun tryed nasturtiums?

        Did they like them?

Did they prefer flower or leaf?

Can this be a seasonal regular diet thing or should it be in the treat category?

Edit to add; Radish – Does your bun like them or just the leaves?

YUP!! And I have, like, a black thumb-they were EASY to grow and the bunnies loved them. I slacked and didn’t get any planted this year but last year they were on the menu. You can even grow them in a little indoor planter

Coco will eat them – usually last – if they are in her mix. She will eat radish leaves, but not the root, although I have offerred. I may have to try again as she sometimes takes a few offers before she deigns to put her mouth on it.

I’ve given her rose petals too, if I have them – She seems to like them as a treat, but not something see seeks out as a favorite.

Who knows with Jackson-doodle. He is a power chower and frankly I am not sure he even sees what he is eating.

I grow mine indoors and my bunnies love love love them. Pacey will actually hop up on the kitchen chairs and try to steal them off the counter.

Well, I finally brought 4 leaves & 4 flowers in the house. Everybun got 1 of each. Big hit.
They are all looking at me with that, “More Please, Now, Right Now,” exspression. LOL
I’ll give them a bit more for dinner & watch for any poopy butts. If all goes well I’ll have them on the regular menu.
This sure will make their salads prettier. LOL

Did you all grow from seeds or from plants? and about how long before they were ready to eat?

I grew from seeds-I’d say like six weeks or so? I can’t really remember-but about average. They were definitely easy
