(old cage setup)

This is the old cage setup above. I made it about a week ago when I put Penny & Lola back in the same cage.  I had to change it because it was SO hard to clean.  So I changed it again & I'm much happier this time.

 

 

 

 

There is an upper level in Penny & lola's cage.  I've never tried it before & they seem to like it.  The babies cage is on top, Its not going to be there forever. It's made out of a bent window screen with some nic grids. lol don't laugh at it.

I used like three different types of nic grids to make it because i have gotten them at all different times & they are so hard to find around here. lol.  so thats why it looks a little silly.

Lola relaxing on top level.  The two white grids on the left are the door. they open so I can squeeze in there to clean.

The buns live in my room.  So it's the bunny room/ amanda's room. Penny & Lola are put up in these pictures because I was cleaning. They are actually free to leave their cage at anytime unless I need them put up for something. Thier favorite place to be is under the bed. They love to lay under it.

 

 

 

 

 

*sigh* I wish i could my apartment as clean as your room. I'm jealous

And so is Monkey! She does not like her little cage, I'm gonna have to build her a bigger one like your bunnies.

You have no idea.... I clean it like that once a week.. usually every Sunday or so... trust me it gets messy. When I let the babies out they make big messes. Penny & Lola are pretty good but they can be messy. lol.

 

Their cage has changed so much since I have had my buns.  I'm never satisfied but I think it will stay like this for a while. 

can you tell me how you made those shelves for lola and pen to lay on??

i'm fixing to make m&p a condo.

The window screen is a neat idea!!! It give you a great view inside, instead of feeling like your looking through prison bars!!!!!!

Amanda-Penny, you are very resourceful... I think, this is a prerequisite to owning bunnies ! Love your room and their condo.

Both cages look great! I like the screen idea too....very cool! I bet your bunnies are so happy with their set up

That looks amazing! And I am jealous of your big room! Mine is about half that size. We have to literally squeeze around our queen-size bed! Geez, you could fit about 10 more bunnies in that space! (LOL... just kidding!!! You have your hands full already!) It's a great condo! Do you have extra supplies to separate the boys and girls? That's coming up soon. Have they been sexed yet?

 

changed it AGAIN.

I always find something that drives me crazy.  I made two shelf areas for them this time.  My boyfriend drilled holes in the wood used for he shelves and zip tied them to the cage.  It turned out good. I;m gonna get some more grids soon and make Oliver his very own special cage. btw- thats Oliver up there grooming. He has gotten huge. He is the biggest baby.  

I really like the idea of using window screens!! That's such a neat idea
