Ok some of you may remember Marshmallow stealing the dogfood and the raw meat. She stopped all of that since I started feeding the dogs while she is in her pen. Today however I have seen it all!

She was out for some playtime and hopped up on me to cuddle. All of a sudden there is a rabbit leaping from my lap and has something in her mouth. After chasing her around for 5 minutes I finally catch her only to see her with a moth hanging out of her mouth and her eating it! I of course being the wuss that I am gagged said ew ew ew ew ew a few hundred times and pulled what was left out of her mouth.

So now I have been watching her more closely and anytime any kind of insect comes near her she tries to eat it! I am surprised she hasn’t tried to gnaw on one of my sleeping dogs yet

Seriously what is up with this rabbit???

hehe maybe this is why Pacey doesn’t want her near his pen lol

Your bun seems to think its either a cat or a dog. Silly thing

That is so odd- but a funny story.  It sounds as though she is very resourceful.  My bunnies would demand I remove such a inferior being as a moth from the presence immediately- they would never step in as “the bouncer” themselves.  My youngest cat goes nuts is a moth or fly gets into the house- she goes into hunt mode.

lol   smart bunny kind of .    Just don’t eat the thing.   Wish my buns  would hunt down those pesky gnats we get.  The dogs would just sit there while the things flew around their face.

Hmmm maybe your bunny needs a counselor.  Hey you are a bunny not a cat or a dog.

Wonder if she nearly starved in the past? Or she has a weird dietry deficiency? Or she’s just ODD! Didn’t the Marshmellow man from ghostbusters eat everything in it’s path or did it just crush everthing?

Marshmallow man was “The Great Destroyer”. I think he just crushed & and roared loudly!
Did y’all know it is the 25 anniversary of Ghost Busters!

                    She is a silly bunny.

The bun loves her some protein! That is quite weird

Maybe you could try feeding her some extra proteins. Not meat of course but something
like young grasses or maybe a little alfalfa.

She is very odd indeed! Lol I don’t think she knows she is a rabbit. She does dogish things like when I get ready to walk my dogs I get their leashes and they get excited and Marshmallow will come bolting into the room and sticks her head in my smallest dog Ziggy’s harness. I am used to Pacey who acts like a bunny lol he has no interest in dog food meat or anything that isn’t green for that matter and he would probably attempt to rip my arm off if I tried to put a harness and leash on him.

She also “barks” at strangers. My dogs do not like strangers in the house and when one comes in they will bark until they sit down. Marshmallow will be in the living room right in the middle of them “barking” at the stranger which is a bunny grunt. If I had a video camera cause well it is the funniest thing I have ever seen in my life. This big ear bunny in the middle of all these dogs “barking”.

I don’t know if she just picks up things that other animals do or if she is just insane lol

But no matter she is my Mellow Bellow (which is what I call her all the time) just have to keep meat sources out of her reach =p

I guess Marshmallow lives to eat.
i know hamsters are supposed to have insects in their diet but rabbits? maybe picas do… or possibly Marshmalllow decided to go on a Hollywood type diet, no fat but lots of protein!!
My female dog eats lots of bugs, dead or alive. She cleans all fllies off the windows… Here in the north we get these crazy locust storms, where they just rain down on you. My dog opens her mouth as she trots along and gobbles up what lands on her tongue! They’re big too, and… crunchy. Some jump in her mouth and out again!!!

Is this the same bunny who managed to get hay on the ceiling fan?

She is all sweet and innocent looking but I am telling you she has horns under those big ole’ ears =p

Today on Oprah…..we meet Mellow Bellow. She believes she was meant to be born a dog. What is life like being a dog on the inside and a rabbit on the outside?”

PEtzy that is funny. The locusts just jump into her mouth ,  Talk about not having to work for her food.

Good grief, I hope you don’t have wasps where you live. That’s the bug my dogs eat all the time. 0_o

Didn’t you say she was fed dog food or cat food where she came from? She’s probably just used to it and wonders why you are feeding her “rabbit food?” (like when you’re on a diet)
Moths…yuck! >.< We get those huge ones with the enormous butts flying into our house this time of year. SO gross!
Maybe Marshmallow has the pica. That’s when an animal or human eats things that have no real nutritional value for the species. Women get it during pregnancy (pickles and ice cream) and some people have it as a bizarre eating disorder all the time. I think I read about a woman who would only eat paste or glue, and some guy who ate small change lying around his house.

Just don’t get close to her with any fast food, or she’ll be stealing your car and going through the drive thru at McDonald’s next! 0_o
And barking? lolz… I think your mailman may be in trouble… (imagines Marshmallow chewing on his leg)
