        Hi, Everyone,

Recently many have posted about other animals in need of rescue; dogs, cats, ferrets, guinea pigs, etc. It’s because we who love bunnies tend to love many different animals as well.

I thought it might be a good idea to start a thread that gives non-bunny resources that you can go to that might be much more helpful if you’re concerned about an animal that is not a bunny. I encourage you to post your other recommended sites here as well. Hopefully it will get any animals that you know need help the proper resources while we continue to do our best for all things Bunny here.

        My favorite sites:

http://www.aspca.org/  ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals)

http://www.hsus.org/ The Humane Society of the United States

http://www.hsus.org/  Animal Rescue League of Boston – I added this because I got my cat there years ago, and you can look up other locations.

Well, I don’t think personally that the ASPCA or HSUS can really help locally with rescues for animals. They are mainly lobbyist type groups and do big picture stuff.

I think a forum is a good place to get the word out personally.

Sorry you all, I can delete the puppy post if you want me to. Thanks for posting the sites, I’ll check them out later.

No, SassyGirl, I don’t want you to delete your post.
It just got me thinking that it might help to start a post with some new places to look for non-bunnies.
I’d love to see member attach links to any forums that think are better for helping out the other animals.

Sarita, I am not involved with dogs or cats, so these are the only sites I know of. If you know some more local forums, it would be nice to be able to connect others to them.
