Buddy, my latest foster rabbit came to me with terrible absessed feet.  He was housed on a wire bottom cage.  The owner reliquished him and 4 other californians/new zeelands because “my freezer is full.”  I have been giving him antibiotics and cream for the past two weeks.  His personality is coming out now though.

Oh, poor bunny. I’m so glad he is getting good care. He’s adorable. I love the Californians and New Zealands.

The guy who relinquished them sounds like a jerk.

I love that black nosed, black eared look too. Good luck with him, he is lucky to have found you.

Hi Buddy! You’re one lucky bun to be where you are now!
Thank goodness he handed them over. I don’t know how those of you who do rescue work face that knid of thing on a regular basis. My admiration goes out to you.
                  Like the caption! hehe

Well, I can’t save the world.  People eat rabbits.  I won’t dispute that.  Rabbits multiply fast, grow quickly, are meant to breed, and are a good source of protein.  I can understand why some people would eat them.  I just don’t want them eating my pets.  I just deal with what I can and find a great home for a wonderful bunny one at a time.

I was reading about a bunny up for adoption who escaped from being meat into the wild in the middle of winter with a bunny buddy. The friend didn’t make it, but someone picked this bun up this spring and he was amply titled Snowflake.
