People are just amazing. We have two buns in a shelter, scared to death of people, and the owner was trying to dispose of them in the trash. The buns may very well be unadoptable because of the torment they've lived through.
You can read the story here: therabbithaven.org/Trash_Bunnies_012607.htm |

this is just heartbreaking, it really upsets me how some people treat animals as disposable things, rather than as a living feeling being that feels joy and sorrow. I really hope those bunnies will find a very loving forever home soon. At least they're in Lara's care now, and she takes wonderful care of all the shelter buns. |

I never understand people! And the worst part about people like that do that, is they probably don't even feel any remorse. So clueless.
Well, at least it inspired me to give a donation to Rabbit Haven. Nothing big, but at least somethin'! |

Thanks BinkyBunny. Every little bit helps. We have had several very expensive special needs rescues already this year (shameless plug: see one of the stories here: www.therabbithaven.org/Bonita_rescue_123006.htm). We also tried to save a little bun this week that was attacked by a predator, and after hundreds of dollars worth of care, she died. Very sad when you try to save them and lose them anyway. |

AMEN. People should not be able to have pets without some training, certification or licensing. People also shouldn't be parents with some instruction, but that's another story! i am so sorry to hear about these sweeties. it's so sad! |

That is heartwrenching! Some people can be so cruel! My heart goes out to the little guys. I'm hoping they can be socialized and adoptable, although it would probably take a lot of patience and love since they've been through so much. They are sooo cute! |
