OUR FORUM IS UP BUT WE ARE STILL IN THE MIDDLE OF UPDATING AND FIXING THINGS.  SOME THINGS WILL LOOK WEIRD AND/OR NOT BE CORRECT. YOUR PATIENCE IS APPRECIATED.  We are not fully ready to answer questions in a timely manner as we are not officially open, but we will do our best.

        Hello!

My name’s Laura, I’m a volunteer at Toronto Animal Services South. I don’t know if there any Toronto members on here, but it seems like a great forum and I figured it couldn’t hurt to ask!

Currently, we have a lot of rabbits (par for the course lately), but our shelter does pretty well with rabbit adoptions. Our concern right now is for two large white, red-eyed rabbits. New Zealands always take a very long time to get adopted, and end up languishing in the shelter for months. Our rabbit intake has been really high this year, so it’s really less than ideal for these guys to stay with us for a long time – we need all the room we can get!

Please look at these two boys and see if you know anyone who could help us out!

Lewis is about 5 mos old and arrived on September 12th. He was surrendered with his sister, who has happily found a home with one of our volunteers. Lewis is quite a shy young guy, and he can be nervous around new people. He never bites or gets aggressive. He likes to sit in your lap while you stroke him, and he will bury his head in the crook of your arm if he feels scared. He is a sweet boy who just needs a bit more socializing. He also has fabulously floppy ears!

Tolkien is new to the shelter, he was just transferred to us on October 22nd. He seems to be more outgoing and relaxed than Lewis, and a little older. He likes to meet new people and loves to be let out of the cage. He is a very handsome guy!

Please pass it on to anyone you know who might be able to give these guys a home!

Have you posted on Ontario Rabbits yet? They have a forum for adoptables.
