I’ll show up for the event, but won’t be able to take anyone home with me. Well at least no rabbits.

Hey Markbun, it was great to meet you at the event on Saturday!  No adoptions, but TONS of people (maybe 30-50 people!), and we did a bunch of education work with folks!  I think at least a half-dozen of those folks will end up adopting, and we all know how many bunnies there are in the Bay Area that are looking for homes right now, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed!  We had such a great turnout we decided that we’re going to make it a regular event, so anyone that wanted to come out to George to see the bunnies but couldn’t make it will have a chance in July on the 3rd Saturday of the month (July 17th)!

I’m glad to hear you had a great event and it’s so cool that you got to meet Markbun! Fingers crossed for future adoptions.

                              Nice to meet you too!

Jasper was a real sweetheart. Sat there on my lap and let me comb the heck out of him without so much as a twitch. He is definitely a lap bunny.  And it was funny watching Clementine trying to give him kisses through the bars.

I felt like I was cheating and went to SaveABunny to spend some time with Chief Crazyhorse but he was off to an adoption event himself. I looked around and there was a girl who looked like she wanted out. Her name is Quintessa and she’s a new arrivial. I took her out and put her on my lap and began petting. She is a sable Rex with extremely soft fur. I noticed her nails were long so I trimmed them and even when I cut one too close and it bled, she barely flicked a paw. Then, she settled down, closed her eyes and tooth purred while I petted her. Eventually, she had enough though and stood up and gave me some gentle digs to let me know she needed to use the potty.

She’s going to be a perfect first time rabbit for someone.

Well, that grooming you gave Jasper must have been the magic trick – he got adopted the following day at House Rabbit Society in Richmond!  He is such a sweetie, I’m sure his family is really going to love him.  I hope they get him a friend!  =)

Quintessa sounds lovely – you should put up a photo!

Thank you for sharing the photo! Yay for Jaspar :~) He sure is a cutie. I love the black bar across the top of his nose which I guess you really cannot call a moustache since it’s not under his cute little bunny nose.
