For some reason it stops playing in the beginning ride before she says the deer's name.  Anyone else having the same problem?

No, it played just fine for me. I did stop the video untill it was fully downloaded, though.
BTW, I think the rabbit is definately a female, not a male. Just look at the big dewlap it has, that's supposed to be a female thing, not male.
