Oh no! This is the month I planned to get Mimzy spayed!  Hopefully I'll be able to save up enough but I am NOT looking forward to it

I can't believe she's about to be 6 months! I hope she'll stop attacking my dog every time he enters my room though. He's a big dog but he's so terrified of her

Oh my goodness I can't believe that it's September already.   Can we just rewind to June?  Or fast forward to October?  September has not fun holidays.

Happy early birthday ChaChaLover.

Haha! You just reminded me that my parents' birthday is coming up.   Whoops.  Got to figure out presents.

Ugh I have no time anymore!  I have to leave for school at 6:30 a.m. and I don't get home until between 4:30 and 5:00 p.m. this year and work has been scheduling me for 25-30 hours a week. I have some sort of sinus cold that's making me miserable. I don't even want to think about applying for colleges and IB work that I have to get done soon. Somehow I have to figure out how to make time to see my great grandpa who is 90 something and the rest of my family who's visiting from Arizona and Florida. And make sure Strauss gets enough exercise this weekend. I am super stressed right now

At the end of the month I'm going away for 10 days, heading south to Melbourne to take part in their 'Royal Show', suppose it's like a huge county fair but in the city with lots of cattle, horses, dogs, cats and bunnies. I'm judging the "Rabbit Fibre" section which means I get to touch lots of lovely soft angora, swiss fox and other fibre producing breeds but not the rabbits themselves but what is 'harvested' off them... the competitors put at least 50g (2ish oz) of saddle fibre into a container and it's judged on a number of factors.
Needless to say I'm more than a bit nervous and just hope it's better organised than the last show I judged at where they were half an hour late with my containers of 'fleece', the stewards took my score cards before I was finished and people don't try to grab at the containers.

Thankfully my lovely mother has agreed to pet sit for me so I'm leaving a list of instructions, including when to clean bunny crates out and who gets what.

Hi Toady, Really miss the Sydney Royal Easter Show. Don't remember ever getting to the Melbourne one though I lived there for 3 years. The Perth one is rather average and I must make an effort this year to check it out again. The Hobart one is tiny but fun. More like a small carnival most of the agricultural events took place in the rural towns.
Do you have long haired buns ? My Piglet is a french angora and currently has a large matt that I am going to have to get a groomer to attend to due to the appalling performance I get from him when its grooming time. I make a point of asking any other angora or cashmere owners what their secrets are.

My birthday is in 20 days. I *think*I'll be 33. I have had a MAJOR age block all year. I always have to calculate it out. I keep thinking about Eddie a lot. This coming week with be the 2nd anniversary of his passing. I have moments of sadness and I am missing him terribly. Lolli was born sometime this month. I don't remember the exact date, so I think I will celebrate her birthday within the next few days. She will be 5. My baby's gonna be 5. lol

I have started 2 online classes. I haven't been in school for several years and it's a little funny how old habits come back. I pretty much find ANY excuse to not do my homework. LOL I also keep forgetting that I even have homework. I am also hoping that my pain specialist submits and gets approval for my permanent neurostimulator. We're getting rain from hurrican isaac here in Illinois and it is flaring my back up something awful. Sigh. Nothing I'm not used to but I know NOW what it'll be like to have tingling rather than pain so I can't wait for the stimulator to be in.

I have started buying Xmas gifts. I figure it will save a lot of time and expense rather than running round like a mad chook on the day before Xmas which is als two days after I celebrate my 50th birthday. As I intend spending the Friday lunching at a Vineyard and the Saturday night (Dec22) having a family BBQ shopping is not something I want to embark upon in the gap between when the stores will no doubt be organised Bedlam.

Roberta, Ash is an English Angora and Loki I believe is an angora cross, some reckon cashmere flop but honestly who knows... I love him none the less. I don't groom Ash as often as I should but when I do I give her a good going over, when she gets matts I tend to get my fingers into it and break it up then run a fine toothed comb (or human hair comb) through it to help get rid of it and of course pull out any loose hair from it. Ash will sit for a period of time to let me groom her but Loki doesn't really like it but he's slowly getting there, I tuck his head under my armpit and keep it dark, it worked when I was plucking out fluff last weekend.

Then again I harvest Ash's fluff (and next time Loki's) for spinning purposes so have to keep it pretty clean, but I did cut out a huge matt during the week that was near her back leg so a bit less fluff to spin up (eventually)

Oh this is beyond fingers. I have managed to break it down with the Matt Buster but its still huge. I get his head under my arm but the performance goes something like this.
Me: Grooming Time
Piglet as he heads for cover: NOT FREAKIN LIKELY
Me (as Piglets struggles to escape): C'mon we'll just do a few minutes
Piglet: LET ME GO STRUMPET!!!!!!!!!
Me: But Piglet you need a brush....
Piglet: Honk Snuffle Scratch Snuffle
Me: Sit still and I'll let you go in a second
Piglet: I will shred your T Shirt and mortally Wound your Track Pants Snuffle Nip Nip Nip... Release me slave !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Me: Stop being an idiot
Piglet: How long must I suffer this indignity??????????????????????????? Snuffle snuffle gripe gripe
Me: See it's not that bad and I am holding the knots so it doesn't pull
Piglet: I bide my time Slave, I shall be free of your undignified attentions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Me: Sit still, Oh Piglet, come back...
Piglet: A Ha, Freedom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have thwarted you lowly slave.... Now fetch me my dinner salad and we shall speak of grooming no more tonight!!!!!!!!!!

That sounds like Loki at times, poor Piglet. I've cut mats in half at times when I couldn't get lower or didn't want it to hit the skin. Good luck with grooming, it's never easy when they won't cooperate

Sounds like Wooly. He will make a mad dash if he sees me coming to groom him. Then he fusses and pouts the entire time. I have given up on perfection. I brush what I can and if it mats I just snip them off.

Shoo, my daughter turns 2 today!! She tells me every single day that she "wants to set Ollie out" of his cage. He is fast on his way to becoming a full time house bunny! Less than a month till we move to our new warren!!!

Also, I've found the funniest site! Anybody ever heard of Disapproving Rabbits? I swear, when you're feeling down or stressed just check out some of those pictures! I think that LoveChaCha should enter some pictures of her little Diva disapproving of things from what I've seen of her on the last picture thread.

Cinnabun- I feel like I've been inducted into a special Rabbit Society! I love being a bunny slave!

Also, speaking of D.R. I came home from taking Leni-loo (my daughter) from the pet store where she likes to look at all the animals.... Well... there were a couple of bunnies there and being addicted I couldn't resist stroking a couple of noses.... Plus! I had never seen a mini-rex before and DEF wanted to touch one of those.

Needless to say Ollie is very disapproving. I remember when I first got him thinking that he didn't have many expressions like cats or dogs, but man I was wrong. You can DEFINITELY tell when a rabbit is disgusted with you! Ha! I might even go so far to say that they have MORE expressions than cats and dogs... you just have to know how to see them.

UGGGHHH!!! I am sooooo irritated/upset! Last night when I walked into my bedroom I saw something funny in the bunny condo on the second level. It was red and small so I walked over to it and it was a COCKROACH!! A little baby roach in MY BUNNY CONDO!!! Never had roaches in my room before so it was like what the heck! We do have roaches and we are trying to control them but for some reason one decided to go in my bunny condo!! =( I killed it but I'm thinking I may need to set traps or something in my room for the roaches. I just don't know where I'd put them out of reach from my bunnies. It was sickening and upsetting. I don't know what to do.

THEN this morning I went into my parents room to clean the cat boxes and I saw another small roach in the bathtub!! AND a pincher bug was under the cat litter container so I was like ugh...more bugs! I feel like we will never get this bug problem solved. We need an exterminator but my dad won't pay for it. =( I would really love our house like bombed or something so it will be clear of all bugs.

I just needed to get that off my chest.

I was raised a city girl and totally hate bugs in a house. They don't belong in a living area. So I'm crazy paranoid about them and spray and treat as much as I can. We spray for bugs after we mow the lawn and after a rain. We have tried Dictomas Earth and a spray from Wal-Mart. The combination seems to work. I hope you find a way to control the bugs. =]

gross! I hate cockroaches =/ Mimzy used to have cockroaches in her so called "cage" at her previous owners, eeew >.< I saw a cockroach in my room not long ago and it freaked me out! I know they don't harm you but for some reason my first instinct was to pick up Mimzy and put her in her cage I think mostly because she tries to eat everything and that wouldn't have been good

I see those pincher bugs every so often. Usually when we kill bugs in the house, we end up flushing them heh. Here where I live, we're often in a drought so sometimes we get scorpions  those are really scary! Thankfully I haven't seen any in quite some time

I saw that picture on Facebook. So awesome.

I was looking up the AeroGarden thing because I am interested in planting some veggies and herbs in my house but it's passed my price range right now. =( Boooo. It looks so cool! I just did an experiment by planting the end of the romaine head in some soil and putting it by a window. I wonder if it will grow? lol I also found so curly parsley that I just planted. So it's a start. I want to plant more things though. I have a huge pot and a windowsill planter too so I have things to plant in just no seeds. =P Or I might just get already sprouted things and plant them so they can continue growing. I think that would be better.

We always have sunshine. Maybe too much sunshine! We just had a HORRIBLE storm on Thursday though. It was pooouring rain and lightning and thundering so loud and bright! It was insane. My street flooded and it doesn't normally flood. My brother was stuck at wal-mart because he couldn't drive in it. We have a dwarf nectarine tree (I think it's nectarine) that my mom bought but it is withering away now because it doesn't get much care and I think the past storm drowned it. =( It hasn't even blossomed any fruit yet. I think it's stumped. Poor little tree. I am hoping I can grow these plants though because it would be awesome to have fresh veggies for the bunnies and some things I can't get at the store so buying seeds online or something could be an option. =)

Well, I am going to go take a nap. For some reason I am so tired! Then I am off to deep clean my bedroom since I saw that cockroach I need to make sure there aren't anymore lurking about.

Skipper's Mama, I don't know, hahaha She keeps her slaves on their feet...

I worked today! I had one customer that was upset that it was a holiday and that we have too many holidays. I told her that people that work on holidays at my job get time and a half. My job is only closed on Christmas and I did not work Thanksgiving last year. I will not work it this year, since my set days off are Tuesday-Thursdays. I will have to work Black Friday, which I am cool with. I LOVE seeing people all happy getting good deals, plus it gives me a break from scanning and bagging food items! Everything that people buy is clothing, electronics and such!

I bought some baby keys from my job tonight. Chacha diva likes to play with my house keys, and I could not find my keys! I had to go to work and could not find my keys, until I lifted up my bed skirt and found.. my keys.

A little comedic relief.................... But seriously, this is a real product... A friend made an excellent suggestion about getting it for her hubby who complains about his ear hair. My eyes water just looking at it.

Yes, the first pictures shows the model stuffing a hot ball of wax up her nose with the intention of yanking it out with the nose hairs roots and all......  YIKES!!!!!

Ouch, that looks sooo painful!!!

The AeroGardens are definitely expensive but so far they are doing AMAZING. We've been getting about a cup of salad for the buns every 2 days and they're only a month old!!! The herbs are doing really well too !! As for growing plants inside, we have a window sill garden too! Cilantro we found was kind of difficult to grow but basil works REALLY good on the windowsill. It's almost like a weed and the buns loveeee it. We haven't had ANY problems with that one, even when the sun didn't shine very much for a good week or two here. Oregano, thyme, and parsley have also done really well on the windowsill in our experience!

My birthday is on the 14th of this month and I'm going to be 24.. UGH. I feel so old. And my buns are going to be 7 months on the 15th, they're getting soooo old too! They officially will be adults then! We've been switching them to big bun food slowly this month! And Happy Birthday to everyone else who has a birthday this month -- I feel like there's a lot of us!!!!

For anyone who saw my thread where my baby boy bun, Tanger, had been banded (as a way of neutering) before we got him -- he FINALLY had his vet appt this weekend and I told the vet and she checked him out and said he was fine! So thankfully my baby boy has no problems down there! And all 3 buns are officially healthy as horses (which is a funny expression since I swear horses are just as finnicky as rabbits if not worse).

And cockroaches -- EW. I would probably die if I saw one crawling around my house. I haaaate bugs! We actually just found a ton of those flour bugs in our cupboards this weekend so we spent the whole weekend throwing ALL our cupboard food away and buying more along with a bajillion containers. We're keeping EVERYTHING in sealed containers now. Cereal, fruit snacks, chips, ect. Literally everything. We spent a good $300 restocking everything. So horribleeeee.

Good luck on your interview, LBJ!

You're close to my age TanLover! I'm 23. For some reason I had it in my head that you were older. That bug problem sounds like a huge pain!

I've been having a roach problem with Ollie's cage too! It's disgusting and Ollie thumps whenever one gets in his cage. I've been having to put his cage off the floor and onto the coffee table at night. Since I'm with my in-laws I can't really do anything about my situation as of now, but in 24 days I'll be moving to an apartment with bug control! Hallelujah! I found a natural solution to the problem by using Borax with sugar. I just dusted it where I thought they were coming from and so far it hasn't been as bad. The bugs eat the sugar and borax mixed together and the borax kills them.

Good luck w/ your interview, LBJ! You'll be great! (what does the LBJ stand for btw?)

Goodness. I've been banging my head against a wall lately because of my icky Stats class. So to relax I've been watching BBC's Sherlock. Oh my goodness. I love the quirkiness of his character! xD He just cracks me up.

Happy early birthday Tanlover! =]

Okay Roberta that looks just horrible. You have to be seriously masochistic to do something like. O.o

LBJ Leopold is such a good a cute little name for a bunny! =]

FF: That light switch is sooooooo cute!! I wants to take it!! xD

Sorry I haven't been writing much I just have been so tired lately. Have no clue why. I have to do so much home work tonight and tomorrow since I lagged it and didn't do a lot last week. Boooo me. I need to get my butt into gear and do my work.

It's funny because Rascal was so hesitant to use the ramp in the condo before and now he uses it ALL THE TIME! haha Valentine prefers to lounge in the pen.

I told a really good friend of mine I had some feelings for him. He said he only saw me as a friend. Oh well, I am used to that. haha I just have to move on and continue our friendship.

Amy, I'm sorry that sucks.

This whole going back to school thing sucks for everyone I think. I already had to drop a class because they didn't describe it right and my schedule is wonky. I've had some relationship issues too but I just focus on Bunjamin when times are rough... (Definitely crazy bunny lady if I wasn't before).

Oh and I put the light switch in Bunjamin's room. It's only the first of the many bunny things going to go in there. I'm thinking about asking my parents if I can paint a mural. If so, I'm going to paint a bunny's dream field or something along those lines.

Eek, apartment issues...I hate renting!

I turned in this month's rent check to the drop box, but got a notice today saying I had overdue rent +$50 late fee. What?? I want to go complain tomorrow, but I have class from 8am-1pm and need to be in the hospital from 1-4:30pm, and I'm not sure I'll make it back before office closing time at 5pm. Really inconvenient . Also, my complex is doing an inspection of my place sometime within the next two weeks and Peppy isn't on the lease. Oh dear...I think I might have to give in, list her, and fork over the fees. I'm moving in a couple of months so I was hoping to get away with it, but I guess not. There goes a couple hundred more...

Maybe have a nearby friend or family member hold Peppy for you while they check it? Although I'm assuming you aren't sure what day?

FF - That switch is awesome!! I saw some hand painted light switches before and thought maybe it would be fun to paint one for myself I just might do that!

So today I just scheduled Mimzy's spay!! She gets spayed on the 27th and I'm so nervous!! But excited at the same time so I can get it over with and not have to worry about it anymore. Well my bf & I stopped at walmmart on the way home from work and he found a few shirts for himself and then I came across this!!

Its a bit big for me but I just HAD to get it. Describes my little girl perfectly & looks like her hehe.

Mimzy, I saw that at my Walmart and bought one for myself and a fellow bunny pen pal! It was marked down to $3.00 when I went, so I was really HAPPY about getting something cheap and bunny!

The mister and I have been playing Lego DC Superheros. He will be working a lot soon, so I got myself Final Fantasy XIII for $11.00 with shipping on Ebay. I received the game today and it is a really good used copy. I keep myself busy until I begin school.

We are having apartment inspections on Thursday, which I am not too fond of. I have a customer that has lived in the same complex as I do for 6 years and she said that the complex never had inspections until last year. Looks like the Diva will have to be penned up in her condo. A friend offered to have Chacha and I over, and she even offered to x-pen some grass off for Chacha to play in. I won't be accepting the offer because The diva is not treated for fleas (she is in indoor rabbit) and she hates the outdoors.

Mimzy that shirt is so cute! =] Seems like a perfect lazy day/PJ shirt.

Amy my brother got me into HIMYM several years ago when it first came out. =] He's a huge NPH fan and was all over the show when he found out that NPH was going to be in. I really like Sherlock. He has this oddness to him that is endearing.

*Sigh* Skipper has been spending more time with "daddy" lately instead of me because of our work/school schedule. And she's decided that for this week she wants to be more bonded to him. Last night he worked till midnight so it was up to me care for her. The whole entire time she was out she was a little bratty ball of hormones. She kept biting me because I was unable to magically turn into "daddy dearest". I can't till December and get her fixed. Her surge in aggression is not fun.

Sorry to hear about Skipper's behavior! Hopfeully December will come soon enough for you then I kind of think having these monthly chats makes time seem like it goes by a little faster Though when it gets to winter, I wish it would slow time a little because it's always blazing hot here!! lol.

Ugh! I can't wait till Mimzy is spayed! Even though I'm going to be a nervous wreck when she goes in later this month lol. Every night I clean up any pellets she's left outside her litter box and every morning for the past few days it has been everywhere! She only poos on the 1 floor of her condo but there is a lot of it =/ Which is not good for me to have to clean when I'm running late for work! Going to be rebuilding her condo again too...what I built seems it wont last as long as I hoped oh well...I get another chance to do a new/better layout!

Wow, so much going on in this thread since yesterday. Today was so busy. I was gone all day! I had my interview. I'm worried since there were so many applicants. I should be getting used to this by now though.

FF - That stinks about school. I had that happen. Actually, my adviser said to take this class because they thought the class was a methods class on conducting surveys (of people). Turned out it was a class on advance linear regression. I didn't understand anything. The teacher actually worked for Gallup. He wanted us to use this weird program called Stata instead of the usual SPSS. I ended up dropping it since it wasn't what it was "supposed" to be.

Hi!!!
I've missed you all
We closed on our house on Friday, so I've been pretty busy. Bunnies made the move well, they had to live in the garage for nearly a month because our closing got stuck in underwriting for 3 weeks, and my IL's wouldn't let them in the house. So that was frustrating and worrisome. But now they are in the house and Lady is currently doing giant binkies around me
I'm also in school for Architecture now. Thats been fun

Doing a hay run today, good hay around here is hard to find because most places only sell alfalfa/lucerne hay for horses or straw for bedding, so when I noticed a feed store about 40 minutes north said that they had a few pallets of beardless barley hay in I thought I'd grab a bale to see how Ash and Loki like it, thinking as they love oat hay they should enjoy barley. I'm amazed that I've gone through almost a full bale (roughly 20kg/40lb) since the beginning of June, these two love their hay!!

I'm feeling really anxious and insecure today. I keep telling myself that I won't keep doing this to myself, stressing every time I interview for a job. Now comes the waiting and that is the worst. This will sound silly, but I keep checking my horoscope looking for a glimmer of hope. Something to put my mind at ease that things might work out this time.

I didn't have much to do today, just ran a few errands. The weekend is coming up. I don't have any plans. Does anyone have any interesting plans?

Looks pretty good and certainly looks strong enough. You could always hand stitch in a lining if you wanted extra strength.

That pic with the bunny getting groceries is adorable xD I want to get a mini shopping cart now lol.

Well mimzy has her first vet checkup on Monday. I already have her spay appt set too later in the month. If something doesn't go right or I don't like the vet, I'm canceling her spat. But I really hope it works out because they have good prices! I called a ton of places & all of them were kind of expensive for me.
She hasn't been using her litter box anymore either hormones I guess.
& I noticed yesterday morning I filled up her bowl & by night time, she still had barely made a dent in it D: so I gave her some lettuce, she ate it & was acting normal. I think she's just bored of her pellets.

Hey Everyone and Happy September!!!

I feel like I haven't been on here in ages! And really its only been a week or two. hehe I missed bunny chatting with everyone sooo much!!! I've been in a major depression and kinda checked out from everything. Except my buns of course! hehe I"m trying to pick myself back up though. *sigh*

LongHairedMike-OMG OMG OMG!! !I ADORE that commercial! How did you FIND that? I don't remember it at all but its sooo cute!!! I want a whole MOVIE like that! haha My mom works at a library and she found a bunny movie so she brought it home to surprise me., I think Toby and I are gonna cuddle up with it tonight and give Lie To Me a break! hehe

Michelle- hahaha Your comment cracked me up! I often block out my age too! Last time I was at the doctors he asked me how old I was and I said 22, no wait 24 oh wait, no 26! He was like, are you SURE? I had to count bahaha He probably thought I was a total idiot! I prefer to stay at "22" haha My Beatrix died almost 2 months ago. It's STILL super hard. I cried like a baby at 2 this morning because I missed her so much.l I'm glad to know i'm not the only one who does it still

Bumble Fly-hmmm TOTALLY gonna have to check out Disapproving Rabbits! I could use a good daily dose of it to perk me up! hehe

LittlePuffyTail= GREAT picture!!! hehe I haven't seen the Bunny Olympics. Are the photos here on Binky Bunny? That's hillarious! I'd love to see what people submitted!

Skipper'sMama- I LOVE the BBC Sherlock! It's the BEST in my opinion and I've seen every show and movie! I was a fan of Season 1 when it came out and was nervous that Season 2 woiuldn't live up to it, but it surpassed it by far! It gets better and better every time!

Mimzy- I adore that shirt!!! I haven't seen it at any of the Wal-Mart's around here. BOO!!! I'll have to see if maybe they have it online. It is way too cute!!

PeppyPoo-AHH!!! That is sooo priceless! And TOTALLY what a bunny would fill his basket with at the grocery store. hehe

I'm so glad I got on here tonight. It really cheered me up a lot and i missed everyone! Today Toby was cuddling on the couch with me and left me a present. And when I went to pick it up there were worms all over it. AHH!!! I totally freaked! I called the vet after hours and he is going in for his first appointment tomorrow. *sigh* I hope all goes well!

I think all the excitment and worrying wore me out! haha I am totally exhausted and am going to bed at 9:30 like the old lady that I am! haha Good night all and I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!

Good Morning and Happy Saturday everyone!

I am anxious to get Toby into the vet. One more hour to go. WHEW! I will be able to calm down then. On a side note, our air conditioning broke half way through the night. *face palm* I woke up at 9 am and it was already 84 degrees in the house. And we've been calling and can't get ahold of our AC guy. AHH!!! I am an already freaked out momma, and I have Bertie who just got neutered, Toby with worms, and Gus who is a wooly. Doing my best to keep them cool with ice packs but I'm going to try to drop them off at the library so they can get in the AC. When it rains it pours right? lol

Mimzy- Thank you! And you are sooo right! I LOVE the monthly picture thread. Sooo cute and a definite pick me up! hehe

Skipper- Me tooo!!! I watch Masterpiece theatre faithfully every Sunday night and usually watch it reair on Monday. haha Our faves are Poirot, Miss Marple, Inspector Lewis, Xen, Downton Abbey, and Sherlock.,

Well I am off to take a cold shower and try to keep these boys as cool as I can! I'll check in after I get Toby back from his vet appointment!

That's too bad about your AC, Cristina! I feel for you, two years ago ours broke during the summer (we live in the south!) and because of a million hoops we had to jump through with our home warranty it took about 6 weeks before it was fixed. We ended up buying a small portable AC/Heating unit at Home Depot. It was only strong enough to cool our bedroom though, so we had to basically live in there the entire time, with all our pets... It was pretty miserable.

I hope Toby gets better soon!

Yeah I love that purse! I can use it for just about anything! =)

OMG! I am in sooooo much pain! I haven't been posting too much because I just haven't been feeling up to it. I went to the dentist yesterday and they took x-rays...My bottom wisdom teeth have grown in sideways and partially under the gum. My right side has been hurting like realllllyyyy bad for the past week or so. I can't even sleep because it hurts so bad. The dentist said food is catching in there and it's probably getting infected and what not. =( Soooo he gave me antibiotics and motrin. I have to take those 3 times a day for 7 days. On top of it, I have to get my wisdom teeth pulled and I don't have insurance so it will cost an arm and a leg! =( They said I need all four pulled but I am only getting my bottom two pulled. I don't know when this is going to happen. All I know is I am in pain and can hardly eat and when I yawn it's the worst pain EVER! So I have been washing my mouth with mouth wash after everything I eat and hopefully the infection will go away. It sucks! I have never had to have antibiotics before (well maybe when I was reeeally young and don't remember) and I definitely have never had to be put under anesthesia. That's scary to me because my dad, sister, and brother have all woken up during procedures with anesthesia. =O I hope I am able to knock out and stay out during the procedure and hopefully I wake back up!!! ahhhh

@Amy's Animals - YIKES!! I'm thankful that my wisdom teeth didn't have to come out.... I remember staying doped up on Tylenol. You might want to try you some Tylenol PM to get you through until your surgery. Praying that all goes well for you with anesthesia! Keep us updated!

@Cristina- Poor Toby! I'm hoping it's easy to get rid of! I also hope your a/c gets fixed soon. That sounds SO stressful.

Ever since seeing that t-shirt I've become obsessed with looking for shirts with Rabbits on them! Here's a couple I've found:

T-shirt - BUNNY - Animal - Summer - Alternative Apparel - Rabbit Shirt - Small, Medium, Large, XL - ClothingRabbit Bow-knot Short Sleeve T-shirt $50.00 Flemish Giant Rabbit Tee ShirtThey've Come for Your Soul Womens Tshirt

Mens Winged RABBIT american apparel T Shirt S M L XL (16 Colos Available)

Bunnies - Unisex / Mens T-shirt Tee Shirt Cute Adorable Rabbit Bunny Rabbits Pink Love Heart Tshirt - Tri Black - S, M, L < For my lop lover friends!

Speaking of rabbit addiction, I had to create a new board dedicated to Bunnies on my pinterest. I feel like I'm going to end up being one of those crazy cat ladies except with bunnies.

I've been thinking about deleting my account and creating one with a new name, has that been done around here before?

Also, who else finds it amusing that it's the year of the Rabbit?!

Ollie has a new addiction of trying to drink my green tea.. Funny bunny. I have his neuter operation scheduled for the 17th of this month... Kinda anxious. I know I've only had him for a little over 3 months but I'm going to be so devastated if anything happens to him. Trying to stay positive. One thing that I hate about depression is I can never be happy in the now, it's like I'm always waiting for the other shoe to drop.

On a more positive note, I'm totally buying this ring :

Well Toby had pinworms, which is a pretty easy fix thankfully. The vet said in addition to the worms in the ONE piece of poop I brought in there were over 1000 eggs.YUCK!! My poor Toby! No wonder the poor guy has been so grumpy lately!

Hazel- I am from the south too! I live on the coast in Texas so I can TOTALLY sympathize with you. That is terrible that you had no AC for 6 weeks! I would've died. Ya'll were smart to get a window unit though! I was just about ready to go buy one today myself. haha

AmysAnimals- I was terrified of getting my wisdom teeth pulled out too. I had never had anesthesia and my sister had a horrible reaction to it at the hospital and nearly died. I however, had no issues and my oral surgery went swimmingly! ANd I am sure yours will too! My wisdom teeth were SO impacted that they were cracking in half and falling out!!! There was absolutely no room, so they were twisted the total opposite way and then eventually cracking and breaking off, in an effort to make room in my jaw because they did not fit. I was in tremendous pain, and they had me on hydrocodone. I was soooo terrified of the surgery but it was amazing!!! The pain of having it done that people complain about, was NOTHING like the pain of leaving those babies in! haha I had no problems at all with mine! On the way home, my Mom was rushing me back to the house as fast as she could. When I got in the car she asked me how I was and I said hungry, can you pull over at Chikfila? lol The next day I was munching on steak and people thought I had my surgery 2 weeks ago. lol You'll be a little sore the day after, mostly just your jaw from being open. I only used my pain meds once, and that was it!

BumbleFly-AhH!!! I've been obsessed with that T shirt toooo! haha I still need to go stalk my Wal-Mart for it! I am so freaking obsessed with that second shirt you posted that has the big bow. OMG!!! I want it like yesterday! The yellow one is cute too, and I NEED the lop tee. haha ADORABLE!!! I'm glad I'm not the only one who spends hours on the net looking for bunny things for my buns AND me! Have you looked around on etsy? Oh my word! I found so much awesome bunny jewelry, house decorations, bunny clothes ( for the buns!!) and bunny beds, etc on there. I am constantly on there looking at it all! haha I also suffer from depression and it was BAD after my first bun died 3 months ago. My depression meds had to be doubled. I'm still struggling but I just try to keep myself busy with hobbies and such. And you always have us! =) I just had my Bertie fixed on Thursday. I was freaked out but, again, I had nothing to worry about. And I'm sure you won't either!

Okay so on the topic of us bunny slaves wanting bunny items for US I added a few additions to my collection this week! hehe For starters, I work at Kohl's and I was at work and saw these adorable bunny slippers that I just HAD to have for winter!

Even the lining of them is freaking ADORABLE!!!

Okay I am a huge nail polish fan and I LOVE doing all kinds of stuff to my  nails. Last year I got into Franken polish. Which is a term used for home made nail polish. (Think frankenstein creating something in his lab but way less scarey!) The awesome thing about franken polishes are the brands love polish as much as I do and they create some AMAZING polish. Plus I love supporting the little indie companies that make nail polish from their home. I recently found out about a brand called HARE Polish that is made by a bunny lover and bunny Mom! I fell in love with the cute bunnies on the bottles! Here is a link to their Facebook page where you can find swatches and pics of their polishes and info on how to order HARE Polish facebook page!

I got my first ever HARE polish in today and it is STUNNINGG! Pictures don't even do this one justice! I ordered it this week and loved it so much I bought 2 more hahaha I can't wait to collect them all!  Plus how CUTE is that bottle? Am I right! haha

Haha! Half of those tees came from etsy! I looooooove etsy. I've noticed that a lot of people that suffer from depression have rabbits... I don't know what it is about them, they have healing qualities that's for sure. I can't imagine my life without Ollie now. He saved my life. There are times when it still gets rough of course, but just a couple hours hanging out with Ollie and getting onto B.B. do wonders for me. It's silly how that works. I love how everybody on here is so friendly and so much of a community or warren I should say.

And ohhhh my gosh.

BUNNY SLIPPERS! OF COURSE! I need some bunny slippers.... !

bahahahaa I should've known!!! lol I am an etsy alholic! hehe And your totally right, bunnies save lives! There is something so therapudic about them! When we got Beatrix (our first bun) I was having a super bad day one day. I just sat on the couch crying uncontrollably. She hopped up on my lap and climbed onto my chest and sat with me, as if to say "it will be okay." After a few minutes when she saw I was still crying, she licked all my tears off my face which made me ball even more. She just sat there cleaning my face and letting me stroke her. I knew at that moment that she had come into my life for a reason ( we had found her in our backyard and rescued her) When she died I was devestated but I learned an important lesson from her that I won't ever forget!

And I totally have to make a confession now...I've been looking at "Bunny Slippers" on etsy for the past half hour! hahaha I crochet and found this pattern I want to buy to make myself some for winter! Eeek!

Womens Bunny House Slipper PDF crochet pattern - six sizes included - Women's 5 - 10 - Pattern number 212

And then I saw a lady who makes Mary Jane bunny slippers for $13 and they are so stinking cute!!!

Slipper Bunny Womens

I thought this style was pretty cute too! hehe

Christina I have been eyeing that pattern for months!!!! xD I stink at crocheting though so I haven't gotten it. I have never heard of Franken polish before. Sounds interesting. I love nail polish but rarely get any since in so many different brands there is formaldehyde in which is horrible for you.

Haha LongHairMike! I always feel that when ever I go into an Asian market. I have no clue what it tastes like but get it any way. =p Hope those taste good! I'm sorry Clover has to go back. She seems like such a sweet bun.

Sorry you have to send Clover back but I look forward to your next vacationing bun!

Amy: Getting your wisdom teeth done....ugh. I have a totally different story from Cristina. Mine was HORRIBLE. I was swollen and black/blue for about two weeks. It hurt to eat or drink and I took my pain meds for a week solid. To this day there is still a bit of numbness on the left side of my mouth. Everything went fine during the surgery and there were no other problems, so it just depends surgery to surgery.

Amy - I had to get my wisdom teeth taken out a few years ago. They weren't bothering me yet but my dentist suggest I get them out because they're really kinda pointless to have :/ I was incredibly drowsy when I woke up, I remember I could barely walk/see & the dentist & my mom were helping me to another room to lay down.
I think I was crying I'm guessing from the medication & I was so confused lol. They had me on Vicodin for pain relief. My mom had to take me off it without the dentist consent because it was making me very emotional & angry haha. I got it done around thanksgiving so I was glad to use it as an excuse not to eat turkey (I don't like turkey ) I was in quite a bit of pain too, my mom had me start taking ibuprofen instead & that was a lot better

Bumble fly....LOVE that gray shirt with the bow! But it's too much for me right now haha.

Christina- 1000 eggs!? Poor Toby I wouldn't doubt that's why he was grumpy too heh. Glad to hear they're easy to treat though. And those gray slippers are adorable! I can crochet but I can't do patterns :/ I would make them white with one gray ear xD

I've really only crocheted blankets since its very easy, but even then, it's the same knot over & over. I don't crochet too often, really only when I used to work in box office at the movies. I've had one blanket in making for almost a year now haha. I keep forgetting about it

I think I pretty much have to agree with a lot of people here -- I've been slacking on BB and life in general, due to feelings of never getting anything done.  Even when I do a ton during my day, it feels like it just hasn't been enough to make me happy... BUT I suppose I do have to cheer up -- my best friend from back home is coming down this coming weekend for my birthday AND I only have a 3-day work week this week since I took off Thursday-Sunday for my birthday weekend.

Our AeroGardens have been doing really well (knock on wood) except for our arugula which we took out and plan to plant romaine in the newly open slots this week.  We're pretty sure the arugula ended up doing poorly due to the fact that we kept our condo at 69 degrees and arugula prefers to be at low 60 temps, the romaine has been doing nicely though!!   I read that romaine does nicely even in the mid-70's so that seems to be the new plan of attack.  The herbs are doing EXCELLENT though and the buns have been getting at least half their daily amount of salad every few days from it -- and they LOVE the variety.  When they get the prune-age from the herbs and lettuce they go INSANE with mowing it all down.

We had to do their nails again and thankfully it's been getting MUCH easier.  A lot less of a fight with them now even though I HAVE to cover their eyes during the process.  But when they finish and get offered a few craisins (after snatching them out of our hands like thieves) they tend to be back to their playful selves.

Thought everyone might also enjoy this bunny cookie-cutter I picked up the other day at the store:

Thought it was cute and for a dollar, who could say no?

LongHairedMike -- I totally have to commend you on your ability to give these rescue buns a nice vacation, I would never be able to give them back.  I'd be totally attached.  And end up with an overflowing home of bunnies.

Love all the bunny stuff. I definitely have a bunch under my bookmarks and favorites on etsy.

So my sister got a puppy today. We got in a huge fight about it yesterday- - what's new right?

Anyways she actually got him from a rescue so I'm very proud of her for making a good choice (we had a whole, breeder vs. rescue argument). Anyways that's all over and I thought I'd share a pic of him, Pasha:

9 week old border collie mix.

My mom now has 3 grandfurbabies and no grandchildren lol. Their house is going to be crazy at Christmas with 4 dogs, 2 birds, 2 cats, and a bunji in a pear-tree.

@ Hazel - It was originally made by TreePartyDesign on Etsy. I have been lusting after it even before I got Ollie!

How was everybody's day? I bought a table for the new apartment I'm moving into on the 28th. (It can't get here fast enough) It was $50.00 for a the table, 4 chairs, and leaf. I love craigslist.

It seems like everyday I get on there and look to see if people are putting their buns up for sale. Only this community wouldn't take that statement the wrong way. HA! Anyways, was thinking about getting another bunny for Ollie after he gets fixed.... I so want to save a meat rabbit. There are several people on there selling meat rabbits. *sigh* after having a rabbit as a pet the thought of eating one is akin to someone eating a dog or cat for me.

But I swear they look just the same in the face! If I find a pic Maybe I'll post it

I realized recently that Peppy is completely house-trained, and it's been ages since I've had to shoo her away from any trouble spots. So I took down her pen...as of today, Peppy is free-roam! If she continues with her good behavior, that is .

Will she be free range completely? Or will you still hutch her at night? I'm trying to figure out if Ollie should be a full time house bun like that... I had pretty much decided to let him have free roam except for at night when I couldn't watch him...

Free roam 24/7! I've let her out at night a few times before (both on purpose and accidental haha) and have never found anything strange in the morning. The only thing is that I've been woken up a couple of times from her jumping on the bed haha. But then my apartment is tiny (545 sq ft) so she doesn't really have anywhere else to wander. The limited space in my apartment is also why I took down the pen...a 5x7 enclosure takes up a huge fraction of the floor.

Chacha is also a free range bun. She gets the apartment to herself, except my dad's room. his room isn't rabbit proofed, but she is allowed in when he is at home. It was a slow process, but my dad and I left for a few hours at a time and realized that the brat is asleep during the day, so we have nothing to worry about Of course, rabbit proofing helps, as well as knowing the personality of the bunny.

Chacha jumped on my bed this morning! I thought it was because my dad had not fed her yet, but she just wanted to be a brat and wake me up >_>

Cinnabun caused havoc while I was in class this morning. I came home to an overturned litter box, and her in the process of digging through one corner of her rug. I about had a fit. I don't understand why. She has the whole morning to run around my bedroom before I have to put her back in the pen while I'm in class. She has TONS of toys, food, water. :-/ I was so upset with her.

So its official, my buns are nutters.... Gave them a lovely fresh perfectly ripe banana. Their first.
They looked at it, sniffed it, looked at me as if I was mad and went back to trying to eat the pillow stuffing.
Banana left untouched.

Roberta, that is what happened the first time I offered Wooly fresh banana. He sniffed it and wrinkled his nose up. He did that a couple tries after that. Then he saw Leopold eating so he finally decided to try it. Now he loves it! I would try again with your buns. Sometimes they are like little kids, they won't know if they like it until they try it.

So long time no see. Hope everyone is doing well.

My grandmother made it through surgery just fine - they were worried about her lack of blood transfusion being a problem, but she went in with a 39 blood count and came out with a 37, 34-36 is recommended for most people for the surgery. She comes home from rehab today, she now has healed enough to be able to move around a bit on her own. They replaced the arteries, so she's going on a new diet to try to keep these new ones clear of blockages (no more pizza or junk food!). She requested one thing before surgery - she ate an entire large pizza from pizza hut with everything on it, she said if she's getting it all taken out anyway, she might as well enjoy her last junk food meal.

The buns are doing well, though, they have developed a new habit. At 9am EVERY morning, they start chewing on the door to their room because they want the door open. They don't even run around when I open it, they just want it open so they have the OPTION of coming out. They typically go back to their closet and go to sleep. *sigh* No sleeping in for me! lol

I spent a week in Florida with my family and got to spend some time with my childhood pets, my dog that we were worried had dementia didn't display any of her anxiety problems while I was there. She slept by my bed instead of wandering the floor, she let me clip her instead of crying like when my mother tried, she ate with a very good appetite (even launched herself at me and bit my fingers wanting the food so badly). Before I left, I gave her a kiss and told her when she was ready to let go, she wasn't in pain but she was obviously growing old and tired. A few weeks after I got back home, my mother gave me the news that she had passed. R.I.P Jasmine, 16 years old and my best friend as a child.

ChaCha -- Walking Dead is the BESTTTT!! My boyfriend and I are in love with that show!!!

Roberta -- thats what my little ones did when I attempted to offer them banana also. I tried smearing on their nose a little so they'd have to lick it off and they just wiped it off with their paws and went back to being little brats.

I've been LOVING the rain lately which is weird... I never have before. But it hasn't been raining here a lot. I feel like it's so relaxing and refreshing when it's raining out. I used to always despise it. Also, the AeroGardens have been putting out about a cup of fresh herbs and lettuce every two days!! We've had to keep them all trimmed back since the others all needed to catch up so hopefully that happens soon so we can raise the lights and let them grow even taller!!! The buns LOVE all the fresh herbs and salad their getting for sure! They dive into their bowls when they smell the freshness.

I got another adorable rabbit thing today. As most of you know, I work selling things (mostly beads) online. I'm doing this on a live auction site and well a lady was auctioning off a custom pet portrait "scratch". I had some credit on the site, so I went for it. She was thrilled to have a rabbit for a change (not that she doesn't like cats or dogs). Anyways I got it in the mail today:

I LOVE IT!

That is all. I have very little of a life with the way things are right now. Work, sleep (sorta), school, eat (sorta), and work again. :/ (OH and of course bunneh time. I would never neglect sweet Bunjamin)

Due to the Myxi and Calicci problems in Australia we have I always have a Bug Zapper to ward off the mosquitoes, or I did until someone chewed the adaptor cord. Found this on ebay. Perfect bun room sized Bug Zapper for under $22 delivered and he has spare globes etc. have bought form him before and fund him to be really good if ecclectic. Anyway, Cheap Effective Mozzie Zapper http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI...ame=ADME:LU:AU:3160

Thought you guys might enjoy this -- I'm spending the day cleaning basically everything in my house... and I come out of my kitchen (where I emptied out all the cabinets onto the dining table) and find one of my little buggers so obviously trying to help momma clean..

And yes, he's on the table ... on a spice rack... LOL.

Of course, now he's gotten the idea that he HAS to be allowed to sift through all the items and he just keeps jumping up there... LOL. And so I've been following him around the table so he doesn't slip on anything and fall... Suchhh a brat. But I don't feel like fighting with him over whether or not he should be on the table so I'm just sitting here making sure he doesn't slip... Typical slave duties.

Stickerbunny - I'm glad your grandma is doing well, I remember you being worried about it before. And I'm glad you got to spend time with your childhood doggy.

Tanlover - That is so funny! Mine would never be that brave.

Well, I went to see the neurologist. He didn't think an MRI was necessary (at least not yet). He ordered some fancy blood tests and said he might want me back to do some test that involved electrodes and needles. =\

I went into a pet shop in Glasgow today and nearly died ! I went over to where they keep hamsters and the like to have a little look (I always have to look at the furries they're too cute) and they had a SMALL guinea pig cage on the floor with THREE baby bunnies in it. They were really cute bunnies but when I saw how small their cage was I got a little over emotional especially because they all looked too small to be even 8 weeks yet. So I went about my business looking for bowls and stuff and I couldn't resist another look before I went and one was licking at the bottle. It was the dryest bottle ever - it didn't look like it had been filled in a few days it was so dry and it was an old manky bottle that was discoloured and everthing . I had to leave before I bought them all to save them . Not without telling the stupid woman that her bunnies had no water and one was desperately licking the bottle in a condescending tone (which us 18 year olds are so good at !) however. Seriously though, I left the shop and didn't buy any of the things I had intended to buy simply out of principal. I don't want to fund something that can't look after its 'stock'. /Rant over.

Hi Stickerbunny Welcome back!
Good to hear your Grandmother is doing well. I remember you were pretty concerned before.

RIP Jasmine. You must be very intune with her. Its lovely she was so settled having you there when you visited. thats pretty special. : )

@ Roberta: thanks for that link. I've been thinking of something for insect control. Small flies at the moment but Mossies on the rise.

@ Robyn: I'm glad you said something! Thank you. Our RSPCAs basic terms are an animal must be provided with food, water, shelter. Definitely reportable if they didn't have even water. : (. I avoid stores I know have animals. I'm just too easily effected now. Today though, i had to go into one that I knew had rabbits. They were in those little aquariums that are installed into the wall. Completely stupid!

Poor little bunnies. =(

I've been sleepy all day. I wonder if they took too much blood yesterday. It was 5 vials. Seems like a lot. Doesn't look like I'll hear anything this week. Maybe next week.

Now I need to figure out how to focus on my homework. I need to write about 8 pages and I can't seem to get started.

I'm so sorry LBJ! I can understand about being sleepy. Are you anemic? If you are then it can really make you tired if they take that much. Having a great big juicy steak will help with your iron. =] Or if you don't like meat, spinach really helps. =]

IsabellaRobyn: How could anyone do that?!?! just totally ignore the fact that they had 4 rabbits that were thirsty and neglected!!! Were they pets or for adoption? Cause i kinda hope they were for adoption...maybe somebody NICE will take them!

Stickerbunny - i'm sorry, i never saw your post! I'm SO happy that your grandma is doing so well - it sounds like she has a good attitude about it =)! I'm sorry about your dog, but i'm also happy that she had such good people for her!

So Snowflake is doing much better now that she gets out more often. Now she keeps hopping up on my trundle...aka my 2nd closet (haha/grr). I'm always worried that she'll leave a present.
Also, now she's getting a lot stronger...gave me a hard time with la grooming a day or two ago, but you guys know how that goes =)! Also i had her 'sit up' and she was much more balanced - i think her bad leg is strengthening too!
This is all so awesome! and it might never have happened if i hadn't found BB!!!! =D

Robyn - that's so sad & I hate going into pet stores with the pets there. I go to a local feed store but sometimes if they don't have minzy's food, I have to get it from a store with pets in cages. I avoid buying anything there as much as possible.

LBJ- I hope you feel better soon! 5 does seem like a lot. Make sure you get that iron back in you!

I feel so bad for my bird! (not that he knows or cares) but his hatch day was sept 3rd & I was so busy getting everything together for Mimzy's condo that I forgot! So I had a makeup day for him on the 9th. I baked him a seed cake but he only eats the sunflower seeds -.-

He's officially 10 yrs old! My baby is growing up

In total, 14 rabbits here at mo. F O U R T E E N!
Thank goodness it's not permanent.

SkippersMama and Mimzy - I didn't eat any steak, but I feel better today. I might be sleepy later though since I couldn't sleep last night. That had more to do with anxiety though.

Speaking of anxiety, I about lost it at work today. The person who got that job was going around telling everyone. I sort of hid from her. I'm not angry that she got the job and I didn't, I'm angry because I feel like I was lied to. I was made a fool of and it is difficult for me to be there right now.

It's a week and a bit until I head off for my trip to Melbourne, I'm nervous about the trip and the judging but I know that my crew will be looked after, just have to write to a 'to do' list for mum about feeding the bunnies. The cats and dog are easy to look after because I usually bag up a weeks worth of cat food (boys get one bag between them and Iris gets her own cause she's spoilt) and the dog gets a scoop of food.
For bunnies mornings is a scoop of pellets/chopped hay along with a good handful of hay plus two bok choy leaves and 3 pieces of fancy lettuce, evenings is pellets/chopped hay along with a pinch of sunflower seeds and rolled oats and another lot of hay. And I'll have to tell her how to clean up their crates and to give Ash a brush every few days

Cinnabun! I LOVE that picture!!! So cute!!

I went to bunnyfest yesterday here in San Diego, CA! It was nice! I got a T-shirt (which I am wearing now), a hay box, a food dish that connects to the cage, and a cool car magnet! I saw Nancy there who is the woman I adopted my bunnies from ( she helps run the rescue) and she had a foster bunny there! She was a beautiful black and white bunny! My mom wanted her but we have no more room for anymore bunnies, though I think my cage/condo is big enough for three idk. Bonding might be hard with already two bunnies. When I move out I would like to adopt an already bonded pair so I can have two bonded pairs and maybe eventually bond all of them together. Who knows. Oh and also another thing about that bunny is she wanted to be a single lady bunny. They tried bonding her with other bunnies but she didn't approve. =P Anyways, I saw a flemish giant in person for the first time! so beautiful the ears were to big!! I was in love! haha I wish I could have a flemmy! People brought their bunnies on harnesses and in strollers. San Diego is about 80-90 miles from my house sooo bringing the bunnies along probably wouldn't have been a great idea and I don't have anything like a harness (which I heard are dangerous anyways) and I don't have a stroller. I don't know how much they would have enjoyed it anyways. I saw a big bunny being held by it's owner and it started kicking and twirling. Scared me because I thought she was going to drop her bunny. She didnt have a good handle on it. There were some gorgeous bunnies there though! There was a little dwarf bunny in a cute little dress! haha Made me want to find something to dress up Valentine and Rascal! =P I know I want to get the Halloween costumes but idk . Just the silliness in me.

After the bunnyfest, we went to a casino called Barona it's in San Diego also. It was big and beautiful but didn't give us much on the slots. Probably won't go there again, plus it's a 90 mile drive lol

All in all yesterday was a great day but I was pooped. lol I had to wake up early and I didn't sleep well the night before.

Oh my gosh Cinnabun that just made me squeel with how cute it is.

Hahaha LoveChaCha those are the best! I did that with my bf the weekend before we started our Fall semester.

So this past weekend was fun. I went grocery shopping with my bf's mom and sister and brother-in-law. My bf's brother-in-law is a big wine drinker so we sat there for like an hour in Publix trying to help him pick out a wine since he has no clue what type he likes. My bf's sister and I spotted these really cheap bottles that were like 2 for $7 and told his brother-in-law to get those since they were the last two left. (We figured they must be good if they were all pretty much gone.) He kind of was giving a stink about it because he was all worried about it being cheap wine. So he picked up this bottle with a penguin on it and we got the 2 bottles for $7. We get home and my bf's brother-in-law likes the wine we picked out more. xD

Skipper's been a big stinker though lately. Her hormones are just out of hand and she's all angsty since we had to start putting the drops in her ears again. I moved her cage today and saw that she had peed all on the back of the wall behind her. O.o Oh yeah cleaned that sucker with vinegar/water.

Looks like my dad's gout is back Stress can cause it, trauma (from his recent food injury. he didn't have good shoes at his gf's place so he had to use these horrible sandals that have no support whatsoever) He has not had it for a while. But this time, it is extremely severe. It went from one foot to the other, and now he has it in his wrist. He is going to go back to being mostly vegetarian. Food also impacts and triggers gout attacks. Animal meat, shellfish, alcohol. When he is better, we are going to look up recipes online to try to cook. I don't mind it at all, in fact, I think it would be good for the both of us to do this for our health and for the sake of eating good food. My poor dad can't seem to catch a break

My preferred feed store to get Mimzy's food was out of her food so I had to go to this other store that has little hampsters, puppies, & birds in the cages. I hate going there! They all look healthy and it's a clean place but they sell them at such young ages!! I had a coupon there so I bought her a couple new toys, one was a knot nibbler but she didn't take to it.
I went today to see if they would let me exchange it for 2 other toys and they said no since it was already open =( Understandable I suppose, although if I remember correctly, I think petco took an opened toy back from me before. Then asked if I still wanted to purchase the other 2 toys, I decided not to and just put them back. I don't think I'll shop there anymore...they didn't have bunnies this time around which I was happy about, but I hate seeing the puppies on that wire flooring, no mat/rug at all. Just wire floor that looks like it hurts their feet & a food & water dish.

I'll just have to remember to get Mimzy's food even sooner than I do already.

Last night I was laying in my bed on my computer watching netflix and little Belle hopped up onto my bed then came and lay down in by my side with my arm round her and her chin resting on my arm!! It was the cutest thing ever and she's never been comfortable with me having my arm round her and touching her bum but last night she just lay down with a little sleepy face and let me while I pet her with the other hand. Seriously cutest thing I have ever seen! It made me feel all happy because it must mean she's beginning to trust me more now if she was quite happy to lie with me like that. I love her so much .

@Isabella- Oh my goodness! That is the best thing I've heard all day. That really makes me happy. Belle must really love you a lot!! I hope Ollie will do some cuddling like that with me soon. <3

I have news everyone... Ollie went to the vet yesterday to get snipped, and an hour after I dropped him off the vet called me... I was in a panic thinking that he died on the operating table...

Turns out.. Ollie is a girl! It's so funny to have your perceptions changed like that. SHE is doing pretty good... Had a couple of scares yesterday but she is peeing and pooping and eating. So I'm one relieved bun mom. I did find an uneaten cecal pellet in her litter box this morning but only that one. Going to keep a look out for more.

Hope everyones week has been good so far!!  I swear, it has been dragging for me like theres no tomorrow.  Maybe because I have to work Monday-Friday, ALL NIGHTS!  I hate working all night shifts.  By the end of it, I just feel dragged and getting up in the morning is so much more difficult, I don't know why though.

Celebrated my birthday this past weekend -- which was loads of fun!  My boyfriend cooked the most amazing meal ever.  He's such a good cook.  Here's a pic:

It was a little depressing at the same time though.  My best friend came down from NY to visit me for my birthday for the weekend and she has changed sooo much -- or maybe she hasn't changed but rather I have.  She has a daughter and she's only 21 and her daughter will be two next month.  And it just astonishes and appalls me really... that she is so irresponsible with her baby.   It makes me angry really.  She loves her but her parenting style is definitely not one I approve of.   Maybe I'm just being too hard on her.  She is a 21 year old single mother.... who knows. My boyfriend made my birthday AMAZING though so I can't be too sad about the weekend!

I've been having so much trouble with one of my boy buns, Fleury.  He's been neutered since June and is STILL spraying.   He just won't catch on to his litter box and we've all been getting so frustrated that he's been even worse.  And since he gets put in his litter box as soon as he comes out now he won't even come out.  And if he does he'll run back in as soon as he thinks you're going to make him go in.  He's becoming less friendly so I told my boyfriend we're going to have to go a  different route with him.  He's getting flustered at us, we're getting flustered at him and it's putting some tension in our relationship with him and I definitely don't want to do that.  If anyone has any ideas, lemme know!  I made a post about it on here.  Any input would be GREATLY appreciated.

Hope everyone has a great day!

I was getting dressed to go to the gym and all of a sudden I hear bunstruction! I thought it was Chacha going at her cardboard box because she loves boxes! Uh, well, it wasn't. I walked into the sunroom and saw a SQUIRREL attacking the window screen! The windows are open for fresh air (but there are screens on it, plus my dad and I live on the top floor of an apartment) and I shrieked and closed the window!

I LOVE squirrels, just not when they are trying to get into the apartment! EEK!

We have a friendly squirrel at our new house. He's not afraid of us. He just comes near us and stares. Usually with a big nut in his mouth. LOL. But I don't blame you for shutting the window on him either Chacha.

TL, that pic made me hungry! lol. As for the friend with the baby, you can just hope for the best. And hope that she has a good family support system to help take care of the kid. No matter what age you are I believe it's important to have a good support system.

LoveChaCha I hope your dad feels better!

Tanlover I have to say, I totally and completely want to grab into the screen of my computer and steal that steak. It looks so darn good!!! But I totally feel you with the friend. I don't think it has anything to do with her being a single parent though. My mom was one and raised my brother and I fairly well. If anything she's using her being a single parent as an excuse for her lack of good parenting. My bf has a much older sister who had her first kid at 21 and she has a husband and her mom helping her out with raising the kid.  And if I'm being completely honest, even with all that help she is not doing a good job. I just don't agree with her parenting style. She refuses to discipline her son and lets her mom do it. And if her husband tries to discipline the kid will run to grandma and tattle! It's just not right in my head. The kid, love him to death, is a total brat. And my bf's sister just had a second one a few months ago. Good golly. It's just craziness. I would never raise my children that way.

Frankie - aww I'm sorry you're having a bad week! We're halfway done, hang in there!

I think that as long as someone is mature, responsible, and ready, she can be a good mother - it's just that the probability of this happening increases with age. Not saying that there aren't bad older parents...there are most definitely those too, as well as good younger parents. Haha who am I to judge; I can't even imagine having kids anytime in the next 7-8 years.

Speaking of kids though, I got to play with babies today which was really fun. I spent the afternoon in the hospital nursery and learned how to do physical exams on newborn babies. Literally newborns...less than 24 hours old!

I personally think that it just depends on the person whether or not to be a responsible mother, no matter what the age. I mean I think it's best to wait for kids but who am I to tell anyone they can't sooner? But whatever age you are, you should be responsible about it anyway. My mom had my oldest brother when she was 17. She's a total inspiration to me. His dad was abusive, she thought nothing of herself but knew that for the sake of her son, she had to get out of there. She did and moved in with her mom but would not take any help from her. She had no choice but to get put on food stamps & get a job. Then got off food stamps as soon as she could make it on her own

If you're 17 and have a kid but are a good mother, then that's great
But I do know quite a few people who don't and it's pretty sad

peppypoo - That's exciting! First newborn I ever held was my niece last year. She was so tiny! & just beautiful ^-^

I was looking on etsy for bunny things again and found this cute keychain

I been trying to look for one for Mimzy. I would like a plush one though because I have a collection of plush keychains I hang on my small purse. I like getting one from wherever I travel :]

Mimzy I want that keychain! xD Too cute!

Peppypoo that is so exciting! I would have been terrified. I'm so scared to touch babies younger than four months old. I'm just so afraid that I'm going to break them.

I was scared to hold my baby niece too lol. But I actually get nervous around little ones or toddlers anyway because the only 2 I really have been around much were my cousins 2 boys. He was really strict on what you could do with them or when you could hold them. I felt like I couldn't touch or even talk to them :/ so now I never know how to be around kids haha

thanks peppy! I think I'll just lay low for the rest of the week... Getting ready for school today I managed to break two toes and can't really walk. I'm going to have to miss class and stay in bed all day with my foot elevated. Bunjamin's enjoying it though. Keeps coming up on the bed to check on me, get his pets, chew my shirt then hop around. lol

Yeah, I understand all that. And it's really not because she's young physically -- but mentally she refuses to step up and BE the mom. She wants her baby when it's convenient for her. And she brings her non-serious relationships around her daughter, which in my opinion is a definite no-no. She has soo many people constantly watching the baby that it's not like she doesn't have time to see these people just on her own... it's simply because she has to work around when they find time for her, so she's willing to give up her baby time to spend it with them... knowing FULL WELL these people aren't going to remain in her life and don't want a serious commitment. Just seems irresponsible to expose her daughter to that type of behavior.

On a completely separate note --- I have no idea what to do with my boy bun who WILL NOT stop spraying. He's gotten so aggressive about it that I made an appt with my vet this Saturday to check and make sure she's gotta everything. I feel bad because we're constantly trying to make him go in the litter box and he gets so upset about it but if we don't then he just pees all over the floor (AND he peed all over my boyfriend the other night! :X) SOOO we're taking this step JUST to make sure... not sure if you guys remember the post from a few months ago about the bun who still had one testicle left! Now I'm all paranoid.... Oy vey.

@tanlover, while you're at the vet ask about possible bladder problems (sludge, infection, etc.). Before getting too frustrated with his litter troubles, you want to completely rule out any possible medical issue.

Doctor said my blood tests all came back normal, except my vitamin D was a little on the low side. I can't imagine that is the cause of all my problems, is it?

LBJ -- Vitamin D shouldn't cause any noticeable problems. I also have Vitamin D deficiency and you don't even know you have it. It doesn't effect you in a noticeable way. So that shouldn't be what's causing all your problems.

Malp -- Good idea, thanks! We love the little guy to pieces but he gets soooooo frustrated when you try and put him in the litter box when you notice he's going to go. And then gets insanely aggressive about it. He was never like that before his neuter at all. BAH. We were getting so flustered at each other that we had one-on-one playtime with just him and I for a little bit and he was back to his normal loving self. I hate seeing him upset. But I don't know how to fix the problem!

Vitamin D shouldn't be a big problem unless it's low along with calcium and parathyroid levels. Then you have a parathyroid issue. Just chipping in my two sense. I'm guessing they checked your calcium though and would've told you if that was low too.

So I didn't make it to class yesterday because I had an accident with a door and ended up breaking/spraining two of my toes or so. So I ended up in bed all day with my foot elevated. I can walk better today but if I do to much they hurt. I don't have any bruising so I'm leaning towards sprain but I have a knuckle that's not facing the right way on one of my toes so that's a little disturbing. Can't do anything about toes though except rest. Maybe it was a sign from the universe forcing me to take a break. I've had a bad week, nothing like LPT's week but a rough one none the less. So ready for it to be over. Boyfriend and I are going on a date to try to turn things around tonight!

Yeah, I don't know. I mean, I know it is bad for you over the long run if your vitamin D is low. It increases your risk for heart disease and such. As far as symptoms go, I don't think it would be as pronounced as the symptoms I am having. Oh well, I bought a vitamin D supplement to take anyway. Now all I am left with is an electromyography (the electrodes and needles thing) and an MRI. If those don't show anything, then he was talking fibromyalgia. He said we have to eliminate other possibilities though first. =\

tanlover - You have no symptoms whatsoever? When I googled it, it does talk about some muscle weakness.

FF - They checked a bunch of stuff. I'm not sure what it all was. All I know is that they took 5 vials of blood. Wow, that really sucks about your toes. I'm sorry. =\

I feel ya LBJ, I do. There are so many people out there with auto-immune diseases that can't get diagnosed. I've already been diagnosed with one but my doctor told me this week I have another but they can't figure it out until the bloodwork shows it. Fibro I guess isn't really a auto-immune disease but I heard it is like it in the sense of hard to diagnose. I really hope your doctors can give you answers.

Thanks for the sympathy for the toes. I'll live. I'm a klutz.

I have a million symptoms for my chronic vomiting -- such as fatigue, weakness, and such but I think most of it has just been attributed to the chronic vomiting (that they still haven't figured out what it is) rather than anything else since I'm deficient in D and B12 and calcium -- all of which I'm guessing comes from throwing up my food constantly. I definitely know the frustration though. The doctors have pretty much said they can't diagnose it as anything so now all they can do is treat the symptoms so it seems I'm on Zofran until... forever? I really don't like taking that strong of a drug 3 times a day just so my body doesn't vomit up food but it's the same opinion from 4 doctors so I'm not really sure where to go anymore... or if I should even push anymore about it.

FF -- that does sound HORRIBLE. I HAAAATTEEE hurting my toes. I swear it's the worst!

Bunny vet visit tomorrow to see if anything is amiss with the baby boy buns hormones/peeing habits/urinary tract.... Send us good vibes! Maybe the little bratscal just needs an attitude adjustment! Although, Idk how I could possibly give that when he's currently running the household. :X Both bunny household and "hooman" households. Oy vey, again.

Bunny update -- so my rug rat went to the vets today to make sure there's no physical reason for his aggression/refusal to litter train... and there's not. So basically it seems I have a horribly stubborn bun on my hands. Thankfully my vet is awesome -- she is contacting the local House Rabbit Society to tell them my situation and ask for advice on how to deal with my bun without breaking our bond! I'm so lucky to have an awesome vet who is willing to go the extra lengths to help her little furry patients.

I also got some of my own test results back from the blood work I had done at the doctors the other day! At the beginning of the year -- my thyriod levels came back at 6.3 --- kind of high -- this time they came back at 2.6!!! Which is low! How does it change so much!? Argh. Medical issues, blehhh. Seems as though everyone on BB is going through some rough patches!

Hope everyone else is having better days!

FF I am so sorry to hear about your toes! I had dislocated a toe before and I thought that was killer. Goodness you have it so much worse! I hope it heals quickly for you! =D

Have they thought of putting you on some sort of thyroid medication Tanlover? To try to control the shifting levels? That's not too great to have your thyroid levels go up and down. I remember after my mom had her thyroid taken out, her thyroid levels were wonky. She was so stressed out because it messed with her moods and her eating habits.

I just wanted to share with you guys something cool. I was so excited today because Skipper actually felt comfortable enough to flop over on her side and sleep right next to me while she was out of her cage. She had never done something like this before so I was so excited. Especially since we had my bf's family over and with their kids the house is naturally louder. I had expected her to not feel comfortable at all.

TL- I definitely think the thyroid levels are not normal. Are you seeing an endocrinologist? They are gland specialist and would be better equip to read your thyroid levels. Not that I'm saying your doctor isn't adequate but I had a primary once who kept messing with my thyroid medications so much that my thyroid stopped working all together and it took months to fix.

Skipper's mama, that is super exciting I love when bunjamin flops near me. It never gets old!

Gosh! Everyone seems to be going through something right now Very sorry to all of you!

FF - ouch! a broken toe? ugh, even just the thought of stubbing my toe gives me the chills.

So tonight Mimzy had a ton of energy and was zooming all over my room. I started bringing my laptop & other things in my room since its late and everyone in the house was starting to go to bed. I don't recall leaving my headphones unattended but I looked at them and there were 3 different spots of gnawing marks! >.<
I didn't notice it earlier when I was using them. I'm thinking she must have done it earlier in the week and somehow I just didn't see They are $60 skullcandy headphones. I seem to keep losing my skullcandies at the...paws/claws of my pets!
I had a pair before these ones and they got broken due to a situation with my bird. He didn't chew them but I brought him with me to work & since he was screaming, my bf told me to take him out of the carrier cage & onto my shoulder. Soon as I did that, he took off flying & I jumped off my seat to go get him forgetting my headphones were still on and they ripped from the computer snapping the wire in half, & bending the part that plugs in =/
Now my newer ones are goners
And don't you just love how bunnies do something so naughty and then act all cute and innocent? She was running in circles around me tonight being super cute with a piece of the seagrass mat in her mouth. So cute! I think they do this on purpose.

Know what you mean Mimzy's Mum... I had 4 ceramic lamps at the beginning of the year. The most expensive and elaborate, a gift from my Mother worth several hundred dollars, fell into bun range and now needs a new cord (but Mum it was in our space, how were we to know it wasn't a chew toy ?), second was crushed in the ceiling collapse and this morning the third did battle with Finn Gall my youngest cat who looked most aggrieved when he knocked it off the shelf toppling but not destroying a collection of cloisonne ginger jars. The forth is circa 1965 and came from a garage sale, of course it has survived unscathed and gone completely unmolested. Oh, and lamps #2 and #3 were personally custom glazed to match my rooms.

tanlover - Yeah, I suppose it would be difficult to tell if anything was being caused by low vitamin D since you have all those other symptoms/problems. I agree with the others about the thyroid thing. Are you seeing an endocrinologist?

Hi everyone so today was BUNFEST in Toronto and I got to go today and meet tons of new bunnies! Wabble (waffle + marble) didn't go because they don't do well with noise, so they stayed home =( It made me miss them when i saw so many other buns out and about, but i knew it was for their best. anyway, i have to say i tried sooo sooo hard to stop myself from buying everything in there, but ended up with a few things: a small and medium willow ball, a medium willow ring, a wooden rattle toy, two bags of hay, a bunch of willow twigs, a new nail clipper, a new fur brush, a caricature of my buns, two of my nails done in bunny art, yummy baked goodies, self made toys, new ideas to improve my nic condo AND a bunny clutch from the silent auction. PHEW! what a hard day! and i emptied my wallet too! but it was worth it because i'm in my room but i hear waffle happily knawing on the new willow twigs i got and marble nibbling on the new hay. =)

Wabble - That sounds like more than just a few things! haha  So easy to just go crazy spending all our money on our bunnies though! Just so hard not to

Everyone keeps talking about bunfest, it's making me want to go so bad! Probably wouldn't be able to go until next year though but hopefully I'll have enough saved up!

So I think I'm the kind of person who doesn't get anxious/nervous for things until the actual day of, because Mimzy is getting spayed this thursday (3 days to go!) and I don't feel nervous yet. Even for my trip to disney land some weeks ago, I wasn't really even excited until after getting off the train! haha. I think I might be expecting to be a nervous wreck on the morning of though And I just clipped her nails tonight! Was going to have the vet do it while she was under but decided I'd rather struggle and do it myself for free than pay an extra $20 :] she actually did fairly well this time

Mimzy I know your pain! This month alone my Sooki girl has gotten 2 headphones, 2 ipod chargers, 2 extension cords, 1 belt and computer speakers. My room is bunny proof but Sooki is a crazy explorer who like to get behind/climb/jump on everything. Its hard to rabbit proof the table tops rabbits are not suppose to be on. My other bun has never given me this must trouble with trying to explore "off limit" areas.

I haven't been to an endocrinologist YET but I planned on it after seeing the newest results. I have an appt with my primary care physician again this week so hopefully he can recommend me to someone good.

Peppypoo -- that sounds HORRIBLE. hahahaha. Hopefully you'll have lots of fun stories to tell us after!

Nikkibun -- your bun is named Sooki? Pleeeease tell me it's because of Sookie Stackhouse from the True Blood series!?!

Mimzy -- I can't believe you're not nervous. I was a nervous WRECK on the day my buns got neutered/spayed.

And this BunFest needs to happen near me!! I'd love to go to something like that!!!

They are NOT allowed in my room haha. Practically the only thing in my room that is mine anymore is my bed & TV haha.

Tanlover - I'm sure I will be a nervous wreck on the day of lol. It's this thursday but I think I've just been trying to keep my mind busy and not think about it. And yes, I will definitely take a bazillion pictures when we get him!!

Bumble Fly, that dog site is hilarious!

Mimzy, you should submit that picture!! It's super cute and sad at the same time Is she a mix? She's so pretty!

Hazel - thank you! She's actually a pure bred. She's an American Alapaha blue blood bulldog Quite a mouthful! My dad got her as a gift for my mom for valentine's day (That's the 2nd puppy she's gotten for vday! hehe) He hoped that she would be our guard dog but omg she is muscular, very strong, 65lbs but she's such a baby. If you can't tell by that face lol. She afraid of plastic bag noises also is scared to touch the grass when it's wet, ugh!

And can't wait to see pics when you get your flemmie!

Aww, I've loved American Bulldogs ever since I saw one in a movie lol. She has a more delicate face though, rather than flat and round like  alot of bulldogs, so I thought she might be a mix. I tried to find out more about them a long time ago but mostly came up with those extremely bully looking ones. Yours is the type I would go for, she looks more athletic, if you know what I mean Also, brindle must be one of the most awesome colors in a dog!

bullrider, thank you! If he turns out like your Blue, we will be happy! He's such a pretty guy!

I'M SO JEALOUS.  I want a Flemmie SOOOOOO bad.  The breeder we've gotten all of our buns from has a Flemmie that she wants to breed but hasn't found a doe for him.  I'm constantly looking on her website for babies I can steal.  *devil face* Bun Hoarder.  As most of you probably remember from before -- the breeder we got our buns from has ONE little guy left from our babies litter (we took the rest of them) and he's a lilac Tan and GORGEOUS.  She kept him for showing and breeding BUT I realized on her website that the new Tans she just got actually (all 3 of them) beat him at the last 3 shows they went too AND so now I'm hoping he's bad at making babies too.  I want him SOOOO bad to complete ours.  We'd have the whole litter then!  And that just sounds cool to me... and I've wanted a lilac Tan for the longest time!  Seems like barely anyone breeds Tans either, not that I'd want any more breeders to start up, but so it's hard for us to find any lilacs either!  She got her newest Tans from a show hours away and the breeder she bought them from is even farther away.  They're such gorgeous little buns but a handful for sure and I guess a newer breed to the States (or so I've heard) so they haven't really caught on very much.

That dog is BEAUTIFUL.  And does look like a TOTAL baby!  Hahahahah, I love how the bigs ones are always total sweethearts!  I LOVE how BullRider always calls his Flemmie his guard bunny when Blue looks like a total sweetheart!  Bahahahha.

So my boyfriend inherited ALL of his moms stuff when she passed a few weeks ago from cancer and so our tiny one-bedroom condo was completely FILLED to the brim with all of her stuff this weekend when we finally got the chance to move it all.  We've gone through everything though and were forced to get rid of a lot of things which is sad because she just had BEAUTIFUL and such artistic taste... but our tiny place will only hold so much and we plan on possibly having condos forever instead of just buying a house in the future so it just didn't seem very wise to even get a storage place for when we get a bigger place.  I'm so proud at how on top of and fast my boyfriend has been going through and making decisions on all of her stuff.  I know it's so hard on people and I'm so glad I could be there for him while he did everything.  He keeps telling me how he's so glad we're together because if not he'd still just be staring at the piles of boxes and clothing and furniture everywhere not knowing what to do or where to start.  I've only lost one person very close to me so I can't even imagine how he's feeling (for any new people -- he lost his brother a couple of months ago in a freak accident and his mother a few weeks ago to cancer) and so now he only has his dad (and of course -- ME) to help him get through everything.  I'm not happy about the circumstances but I've always felt like he's done so much to help me through all my problems and issues and I'm so happy that I can be there for him and give some of that back.   It's always been frustrating because he's so good to me but I never know how to do anything big for him because he has his head on his shoulders very well and just is very good at making the best of life through anything.  I would do anything to help him through everything he's been going through and I'm so glad he's been turning to me for help!  I was so scared he wouldn't.

On a better note -- I feel like the best bunny momma ever and the worst right now!  My brascals just turned 7 months and so the horrid, dreaded time of cutting back pellets has been reached.  They are currently at a 1/4th of a cup every day.  (Which they are NOT happy about).  All 3 buns weigh a little over 4 pounds, under 4 1/2.  All 3 weight close to 4.25 actually.  Just to make sure -- would you guys all agree that 1/8th of a cup is what they should be getting in pellets.  They also have unlimited oat hay and they all get about a cup of veggies a day (they get 3 cups in total for all 3).  I know some people feed their buns 2 cups each day for their buns that weigh close to the same as mine and I just want to ensure that I'm not withholding food from them if they need it and that the amounts are about right?  It just seems some people feed more veggies, less pellets soooo I'm worried my veggie ratios and pellet ratios may be off if someone gives more or less veggies to the buns.  Thoughts?  I feel like the BEST bunny momma because with all the moving stuff and organizing we've done this weekend the buns haven't had a lot of attention or free-time... about an hour a day for the weekend.  (Usually they're out for multiple hours since our buns are a running breed and ALWAYS hyper so the usual hour or so a day doesn't seem enough for the little rascals.)  So yesterday -- I FINALLY got around to pruning our AeroGardens and window herbs and the little loverbuns got a whole cup of herbs of so many variety (cilantro, parsley, basil, lemon basil, rosemary, dill, oregano, thyme, and mint) along with the pruning of the romaine lettuce and it got mixed with kale from the store (their FAVORITE).  I always feel so good when I can give them such a variety and I felt like last night after their weekend they really deserved it!

I know some people were interested in the AeroGardens -- here's them at about a month and a half of planting!

Romaine Lettuce : I'm not sure how the ones in the back are doing (I'm confused at whether they're okay or not because we were trying to get our arugula to catch up to their size so we couldn't raise the lights until all the lettuces in the AeroGarden did so we actually just yanked out the baby greens, salad greens, and arugula and replanted with all Romaine but I'm not sure if we are hindering the romaine in the back which is from the first batch by not letting him grow to his potential height... we are waiting for the other Romaine to catch up to him now).  But it's really good lettuce either way!!! And the buns go nuts over it.

All the Herbs! : Lemon Basil, Thyme, Dill, Oregano, Mint, Cilantro, and Geneive Basil (I think that's how you spell it).  As you can see the herbs are doing really really great!!!  We didn't think the Dill was gonna make it but he did!!  And since you have to prune them so often the buns go NUTS over their salads every couple of days.

Here's the bell peppers so far!!   I was soo scared to do the first "pruning" when you have to take off the whole top -- I really thought it was gonna kill the whole plant when really it just makes more branches on the bottom so they can hold the pepper.  But they did exactly what they were supposed to and one of the leaves were recently cut off was literally like the size of my face!!  The back two are bell peppers and the front one is a jalopeno!

And last but not least (hope no one minds, I know this is a freaking long post and I know the buns can't eat these BUT just for anyone who is interested)... the mega cherry tomato plants in the back and a fire pepper in the front!  Kind of worried about the fire pepper because he's so small and we had to raise the lights so the tomato plants didn't get burned but he's chugging along slowly and all of his leaves are big and nice so I guess I can't complain -- the risk we took of putting a pepper in with the tomatoes.  Hoping to make a nice salsa from these though!

Sorry for the extremely long post but I've been so worked out with all the stuff we've had to do this weekend and all I have to do today along with work that I needed to sit down, relax, and just get some BB time in for my sanity!

Hope everyone is doing well though!  And if anyone has the money -- I would soooo recommend the AeroGardens for the buns!  Ours are coming along SOOOO good and the buns just LOVE all the veggies they get from them!

Just poking my head in to visit.

This quarter isn't too bad.. yet. Hahaha. It is definitely a lot less slower than summer quarter, which is fine with me.

Chacha bun has been up to her usual antics. She is doing quite well and didn't wake me up this morning

Roberta I absolutely loved that video! That bun is too cute and gutsy. =]

Hazel you are so lucky you're getting a Flemmie! They actually have a bonded pair of Flemmies at a rescue that is several hours away from my house. I would get them but to be honest I don't have the funds for two more rabbits. Things could be easily stretched to accommodate just one more but not two.

Tanlover I am so sorry you are having to go through all that stress! It's a good thing that your bf has you! =] If you need to get rid of some stuff you should send it to me. ;P My bf and I are actually moving out into this huge empty house in the middle of no where. We're not too sure if there is even Internet being provided there. >.> >.< But the rent is cheap and we like that we are able to give Skipper a lot more room to explore. It's so sad all we really have is two desks, a couple of dressers, a bed and a TV. xP We said we're just going to live in the living room since it's right next to the kitchen until we start getting so more furniture to fill up the place. (Which of course won't be for a while because we're broke. But hey! There's adventure in it!)

Bullrider I hope Chipmunk is doing well!

Mimzy you are so lucky that you are not nervous. Skipper's spay is still a few months away and now that we have the date pinned down I'm flipping out. I'm so worried about it and praying that she gets through it okay. Which she will of course because we have a great vet. But I am just such a worry wort that I can't help but go crazy with anxiety.

LBJ -- yepp, they are on the Oxbow Adult Rabbit Food now. They get pretty much Oxbow everything.

Skipper's Mama -- Hahahaha! I've always wanted to start from scratch! I always look at it as though you get the chance to decorate and pick everything out and choose exactly how you want everything in your home to be! Even if it happens slowly! Your bun is gonnna lOVE all the new room to explore, I'm sure. Whenever I let our buns out into the rest of the house (which doesn't happen very often because 3 bratty little buns all who are hyper just ends in house destruction) they go NUTS with excitement.

So for those who didn't see on our bunniversary thread, we've decided to get another Bun. We've started the bunny-dating preliminary with towels that smell like 3 of the local rescue's gals. We went for age and what me and the head of the rescue think personality will match. He had pretty good reactions to the towels so I'll be taking some Bunjamin-scented towels to the ladies soon.

In the meantime, if anyone sees any good deal on nic cubes, pens, and a hard case travel carrier large enough for 2 please let me know! We're not rushing anything so I'm hoping to pick up some of this stuff on sale to save money.

One is a netherlands dwarf but weighs more than Bunjamin because her previous owners only fed her pellets and kept her in small cage So she's currently on a diet. She has a chinchilla colored coat.

Another is a dutch/polish mix. Grey with white paws. About 4-6 lbs.

And the last one is a mini rex with really unique brown/orange black speckles on white coat. She is probably the largest.

I'm trying not to get attached to any of these three in case it doesn't work out and Bunjamin doesn't like any of them. Hard to tell my boyfriend though. He's already got a favorite :/

And FF - the grey one sounds adoreable, but ohhhh, I've wanted a mini rex for some time now, and the coloring of that bun sounds really special.

Bunjamin is a mix. We know he has some dwarf because he's small. 2 lbs, 13 ounces! But he has a harlequin pattern. Other than that, it's a mystery!

Congrats on the new job, MB! I have to agree with FF, it definitely sounds like the perfect job for you!!!

Also, good luck FF! Is it micro one? I had the WORST professor for micro and he made it soooo difficult. My macro professor on the other hand was the BEST and made it so enjoyable. Which is funny - because everyone always said macro was harder to grasp than micro!

I heard the brats getting into something -- and turned away from my computer to look -- and be surprise, they were dragging the Craisin bag out of the bin which I didn't even know they could get into. All three of them! Such little bratscals. <--- my new name for my little terrors! I feel like if I ever get another bun of a different breed I'm not going to even know what to do with myself. I've always been told Tans are HYPERRRR and way more energetic than other breeds... and considering I never see them doing anything but causing trouble, I'm inclined to say it's probably an accurate statement. I so wish we could let them out 24/7 and have free roam but they can't even stay in their bunny proofed area without finding something to destroy! LOL. They would TEARRRR the house apart. When I was doing some major bunny condo cleaning yesterday, I walked through the bunny gate closing them into the other side and didn't even notice one had trailed along right behind me on my heels and I heard a huge munch noise and turned around and one of the black Tans was gobbling down a huge leaf of cilantro from the AeroGarden. Oyyyy veyyyyyy.

As some of you may have remembered -- my girl bun was INSANELY skittish before her spay and would barely let anyone ever touch her. I thought I'd give a little update -- since her spay she's completely turned around into a totally different bunny! It took a lot of time and effort but she's the SWEETEST of our bunnies yet. She hops in our laps and loves being pet and climbing all over us. It makes me feel so wonderful that her skittish personality has finally subsided with us. You can tell she'll never let anyone but us touch her but that's fine with me! She has also become one of our silliest bunnies yet! She is always being goofy and I LOVEEEE how much her personality has come out since her spay.

Still working on my Tan boy buns behavioral issues though with the litter box! My vet got me into contact with the local House Rabbit Society so I emailed them but they haven't e-mailed me back yet! Their response to my vet wasn't really what I was looking for -- she talked a lot about aggression between bunnies and their litter habits but he has no aggression towards the other rabbits at all, ever! So I emailed her back explaining the exact situation so hopefully she has ideas and gets back to me soon!

Congrats on the job MB!

Hope your test went well FF! I hoping the adopting process is still going well.  That's so great that you guys have a few options.   I'm sure Bunjamin will love one of them.

Tanlover I love hearing about what your little brascals have gotten up to. It always make me laugh.

Svandis I would love to live in the middle of nowhere in Norway where you live! That country is beautifullllllll. Middle of nowhere Florida on the other hand not so much.

I've actually started from scratch before when I moved to Florida with my mom and loved it.  It was a ton of fun.  This will be the first time that the bf and I will actually be moving out and starting from scratch together.  I kind of feel bad for him because he hasn't moved before whereas I'm pretty much the moving champ and have moved around a ton.   I'm more or less worried about having Skipper with carpet.  She has never seen it before and I am so afraid with her mischeviousness she'll rip it up and good lord would we be killed by our landlord.

Weird Weather, Barely out of the first month of Spring down here and we have already had a week of temps up in the high twenties now this!

Yesterday was 15C with howling gales, hale and thunder storms with a min temp of 8C. I know we are between a desert and an ocean but this is crazy.

Was planning to set up the bun room on Monday, how on earth am I going to keep them cool and unstressed during the moving process when we are going through early Summer temps

We're still working on unpacking and we bought his and hers matching dressers last weekend from Ikea that we need to build. Along with some bunny-dating work. MB - Congrats on the job! It's always great to find a job of your own interest

TL - I, too, love hearing how mischievous your trio is xD I couldn't begin to imagine having to look after a trio right now hehe.

Well this weekend, I'm home bound! Bunny sitting :] And probably some painting in between her care. I tried doing a different style of painting than what I usually do & I don't think I really like it =/ Going to try and finish it anyway & will probably just not paint in that style anymore. Trial & error :] My parrot is absolutely loving all this attention since Mimzy is recovering from her spay. He just sits on my shoulder all day & gives me kisses ^-^ Bird kisses are just so cute<3 they kind of tickle, hehe. But he is getting spoiled! He screams often but I'm teaching him to whistle for attention/treats instead. So he's been getting a few cheerios here & there, some mango, & millet seed & plenty of cuddles!

Also probably going to be looking for a new aquarium filter for my turtle I went to clean his whole tank (75 gallons!) I think I've found that water pets are not for me :/ but I love him too much! Long story short, his filter has been a nightmare! It wont close all the way anymore so it ended up leaking a huge puddle on my carpet. I turned it off but it was pointless to keep trying to clean it up since it just kept leaking. I started trying to take it apart since it wasn't doing me any good but one of the intake tubes fell & spilled even more water. & in trying to take it out of my room, it spilled again! Definitely not fun =/ My dad came in to help so now we found one that has really good reviews! Poor turtle, he's been without one for some days now & his water is looking a little foggy already No more turtles for me! hehe

Awwww, poor Squirrel! Thankfully, we've had no accidents like that here! Let us know how the vet appt turns out tomorrow -- ***Sending good healing and healthy vibes his way!! ***

Ugh, it's been so cool out... I hate it but love it at the same time. I've really been enjoying when it rains out which is weird. I have no idea why... I've NEVER enjoyed rainy and gloomy weather. Maybe because I'm starting to get so old that I'm appreciating the little things. *facepalm*

Tonight my boyfriend and I went out for a really nice dinner at this place in Pittsburgh called Toast. Wasn't anything great for the money you pay... I would be willing to say that the apps were actually better than the dinner... and I got a red tomato risotto and for $21 I barely even had anything on my plate. My boyfriend is all into fancy food and fancy restaurants so I KNOWWW it was a terrible portion for it only being a rice dinner. But it was still good -- just wouldn't pay the money we did for what either of us got again. Some of the restaurants that are up and coming in Pittsburgh are DELICIOUS though. I still have yet to find a place here though that has just really good...homey food... if that makes sense. I want a place I DON'T have to dress fancy to go to yet have a good hearty meal in too! With it being worth the money... My BF's such a good cook from all his time spent practicing though that I'm probably just overly spoiled in the food department after a year and 3 months of being with him.

As for the rest of my weekend I don't think we're doing much... I would prefer to just sit around with my book and my buns all day for the next two days relaxing before I have to drift back to the real world of working... BLEH.

Maintenance is scary Whenever my dad puts in an maintenance order, he always tells them that a rabbit is living here and to close the front door (even though the front door area is wooden and Chacha HATES wooden floors) and to be quiet (if possible).

I have been working on an Accounting project and trying to get ahead in my other classes. I am so happy that this Fall quarter is a lot more relaxing, and everything is more spread out.

I'm going to the midnight release of Resident Evil 6 on Monday night =D I have to go wake up at 7 am the same day for class, so I'll play the game when I finish my homework for the day.

Has anyone picked up J K Rowling's new book?

ChaCha: I really want to read it, not because it sounds overly fantastic (it sounds perfectly fine but not world shattering) but because of the intense loyalty I feel for JKR after growing up on HP. :'}

I'm currently doing my morning ritual of BB and then plan on snuggling in with my coffee and reading for the next few hours! LOVEEEE lazy days!

Glad Squirrel is okay and his toe will grow back!!! That's so sad that he's deaf. Has it hindered your relationship with him at all? My buns are all so little but I know at some point one of the three will have some kind of issue we have to deal with... especially as they get older so whenever I hear something about health issues on BB I immediately wanna know all about them so I can be prepared in the case they ever have to my little babies... Poor little guy... He's lucky to have a great bunny momma though!

I bought a honey crisp apple to share with Chacha. One of my customers said that "Those are expensive apples. They should not be fed to a bunny. Bunnies don't care what they eat." I looked to the side, rolled my eyes, and looked back at her and said, "Actually, my bunny does care what she eats."

Uh yeah. So don't you dare tell me what to put in my own mouth and my Chacha bunny.

TL I am SO the same way! My bf's family and my friends laugh at me and my obsessive reading. But I want to be prepared just in case something happens!

ChaCha your post made me laugh. I had to giggle at your response to the person. I can't believe they said that though! Goodness. Don't people realize that animals have personalities and minds of their own?

So I got these Ziplock freezer bags that you can suck the air out of and tried putting Skipper's veggies in to see if they keep longer. I'm just waiting to see how well they really keep. But man you have to sit there and pump and pump to get the air out of the bag. Not going to lie a bit of an annoyance.
