The darkness of the ring says Hotot to me as well. Although, English spot mixes also have the ring. One of our Forum leaders (RabbitPam) has a bunny with those rings, but she’s not a hotot. She sure is cute though. Glad she’s on hay now. Are you a first time bun parent? I would suggest a vet visit (to a bunny savvy vet) and checking out BB’s “bunny info” section to help you get started!

Usually a hottot is pure white with the ring, he might be a mix of minni rex and spot like my nibbles

Thank you for rescuing her. I conclude with Bullrider and CinnabunMom. I would definitely get her checked up since she was outside she could have fleas or ticks. And rabbits have to have special dosing for those treatments. Also, the vet can give you an estimate on age which you will need to figure out the best diet for him/her. Oh and the vet can figure out gender too. Welcome to BB

General Serving size – 1/4 to 1/2 cup pellets per 6 lb bunny
                        Recommended Nutritional Value
                        Fiber 18% minimum (20 -25% best)
                        Fat 1 – 2% max
Protein 12 – 14% max (long-haired breeds may need higher)
                        Calcium 1% max

Pellet bags usually has recommendations on the back according to size. So if you know her weight that’s a good place to start. I know you’re looking at vets but it’s hard to be precise on food without knowing age or weight. Hopefully you can find one and they’ll be able to help you there.

Welcome! Yup, looks like a Hotot (probably a mix). Thank you for rescuing the bun!

How is the bun being housed? The source link that FrankieFlash posted is a great place to start learning about bunny care, with information about food, housing, litter-training, spaying/neutering etc.

Thank you for rescuing! I agree with everyone above, a check up from a rabbit savvy vet is a good idea. The vet will also be able to tell you the gender and whether or not the rabbit has been altered, if not I would highly recommend having the rabbit spayed or neutered (unspayed rabbits have an 80-85% chance of developing uterine cancer).
