              ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!

If those aren’t THE most gorgeous ears. She is so precious! You got to keep her. We’ve decided to keep Vincent (Vin Diesel) He’s just too sweet and he’s quite happy. I knew it’d happen.

Come on… you know you want to keep her.

You know, these rescue groups do a good job with their fosters. They choose the cutest lop-eared rabbits they can and put them in some of the best homes they can find, knowing full well that the charm of the flop will win.

I almost couldn’t spot the bunny in the first pic!  If you hadn’t fostered him first and we had, we probably would have adopted him too!  He is so cute!  Yeah Brett said “well we succeeded in not being foster failures the first time but we might not the second time!”   I’m so excited about tomorrow!  I can’t wait to pick her up!

We just came home from Judge’s Park and I have to say she is just so cute!  She’s not litter trained all the way yet and already peed on a blanket.  I think we’re going to go to Home Depot tomorrow or Sunday and get a piece of lino. so it’ll be easier to clean up her mess.  We let Sandy out in the room and had them out at the same time.  Archie’s still lounging in the cage but Gracie came out and they sniffed noses through the gate.  So we’ll see how Gracie reacts to her in the upcoming “through the bar” meetings.  I can even hold Sandy without a problem and she just loves to be petted!  Sandy is so cute we really would like to keep her!

How was Parsnip with being handled/pet?

She’s doing a little better but Jen said it took her 20 min. to catch her when she had to out to play.  Her hormones might not be all settled down but she does seem kind of bratty   Jen said she can hold her a little better but putting her down she spazes out.  She still thumps too when you put her in the cage.  I know for a fact that her and Gracie would not get a long, they are both divas and would butt heads!  I miss Parsnip but Sandy is sooo much better to handle!  Parsnip is very pretty but she only ran around when you weren’t looking, picky at food and very slow eater, and I was always afraid to hold her because she’d always cut me up when I did so.

I’m not sure how we’re just suppose to “foster” Sandy when I wake up this morning and my husband brings her into bed to greet me good morning

Is Archie and Gracie the same way as Parsnip or do they enjoy human interaction?

When Trixie was alive, she was always a cuddle-bug. So it was pretty hard after we got Benjie and Addie because we love them to death and just want to interact with them, but they didn’t really want any love from us.

Addie, she’s the kicker. She’ll let you pet her on the floor. You can pick her up but right away she goes in to that looking-for-an-escape-route mode. So you can only hold her for a few seconds. Benjie isn’t a kicker but you can see he’s just not comfortable being held. He’s pretty timid. He’ll come running when we have pellets or greens and he’ll sit right there and eat… he just doesn’t want touched.

So when we picked up Vinny from Jen we just about knew right away that we wanted to keep him. He’s just as loving as Trixie was when we brought her home. He loves people. It wasn’t a simple decision, though, because Addie is very stubborn when it comes to other buns. But we’ve got it set up now so all the buns have room to run. And after we get Vin neutered, then we’ll try working on getting them all bonded.

I would keep her too. There’s one little grey or maybe agouti dwarf at the shelter that is adorable.

Peppa and Georgie arent into petting that much either, i am hoping as they grow older they will get to like it more. Peppa will let you pick her up more so long as you are walking or standing but once you are still or sat she is wanting to go. Georgie doesnt want to be picked up full stop but if you pin her and get her she stays perfectly still but obviously isnt what she wants. She is the one though that if you get her petting her head will relax into it and really enjoy it so long as she is on the ground. She trances better than peppa too as peppa wont really do it. x

I think “Foster” is the new euphemism for “slaves who can’t commit yet but we know will keep another bunny if we just play along”.

“Rehome” – an archaic term formerly used for placing bunnies into a newer environment. No longer in use. See “foster.”

Archie used to hate being picked up but after we got Gracie he doesn’t mind it as much.  Gracie is a little more tougher to handle, but as long as you have a good grip she’ll stay still for a bit.  As soon as you lose grip she kicks out her legs and tries to get away.  Parsnip was very very hard to pick up, everytime I would she would kick her legs and her sharp little paws would cut me up.  Even the bunny borito doesn’t keep her still!

Sandy is so happy go lucky.  Today she flopped over but flopped to hard and rolled all the way over.   If that doesn’t scream cuteness I don’t know what does!
