Inspired by podkin’s post, I picked up some stuff at the thrift store and talked with my husband about it.  Today he surprised me by whipping this up from the items I bought last night and some extra plywood we had leftover from building Oswald’s cage.  So far, he doesn’t know what to think.  He doesn’t seem to like the ramp, so we are probably taking that off, and he hasn’t gone inside of it yet.  I hope he ends up liking it though.  I think it turned out nice.  He looked online for some ideas, that’s where the inspiration for the pinecone “wall art” came from.

Here he is checking it out, not sure what to think.

The round pieces are the leftovers from what my husband drilled out.  Pinecones are stuck in the wall

I still need to throw a towel or something in the basket.

              It’s pine.  Is that bad?

Oh my gosh! Want to make me one. ;P It’s great! Pine is okay as long as it is kiln dried. It may take Oswald a little bit to get used to the ramp. =p If he doesn’t like it you can always try stairs. =]

Wow! I love it! I am planing on making something from some left over ply wood and I am liking all of these ideas!

Yes pine wood is safe! Only pine shavings is bad.

We took the ramp off today, it made it hard to move around/took up more floorspace. But he seems to be digging it, I had to put pellets inside so he’d go in there! I think it’s a hit so far and I feel better knowing he has something to climb in and on.

So cool! I want to make some more bunny furniture but my piece of wood hasn’t told me what it wants to be.

Nope, the rug was a thrift store find.  You’d be amazed what kind of awesome things you can find!
