Thanks, I posted pictures on another thread. Does anyone know what I can do to keep him from putting his head through the bars? I don't want him to get his head stuck. |

Well, if that is the case you may have to put that cardboard around the bottom until he grows a bit. |

In addition to a little cardboard around the bottom, I would also cover the top. The pen doesn't look very high and I would be worried about your other bunny hopping in. The female is spayed, right? |

Nice looking pen. I use an xpen too. Is your litter box loaded with hay? If so, may I recommend switching to litter in the pan, and getting a separate hay holder (attached to the bars over the litter pan is a good type) for the hay. You want bunny to eat unlimited hay, but not poop into it. You can put a clump of hay in one end of the litter pan to encourage Twig to sit in it while munching. |

Thanks, I think the pen is 2.5 feet tall. My girl is spayed and can't jump over the pen. I was thinking about making a top but am not sure what to make it out of. The litter box is full of hay. I am looking for something for above the litterbox for the hay to go in. |

An easy top for all or part of the xpen is a sheet (folded if smaller coverage) that is clipped to the top sides of the wires. You can use dog clips or twist ties to hold it (clamp the sheet or punch holes.). |

To add to RabbitPam about clipping the sheet on. I use cloths pins. Easy to take off for cleaning! |

I have ALWAYS heard to put bedding and hay in the litter pan (as well as have separate hay). I have a litter pan that has care fresh at the bottom and some hay on the top. I also have a hay rack. I've never heard to just use bedding on the bottom of the litter pan and I've had a few rabbits over the years. I may be still learning but I think every one who owns anything will still be learning new things. =) |

My buns aren't fond of hay racks. Poor little Monkey can barely reach one, if its hung at a good height for the others So I just put hay in one end of their litter boxes. |

Twig started jumping out of the pen so I made a top out of a rat cage that I had laying around. The rat cage roof is left over so I want to make a shelf or a hay rack out of it. |
