Hey everyone

Tonight I noticed my bun acting strange. He's constantly spinning around, arching his backend, flopping in random places then getting back up a few seconds after, then spinning around again and again, almost as if he is uncomfortable! He also peed on the floor which is not like him (he is litter trained and only has one other place where he pees-- in the corner on a wee-wee pad) He usually does not do this ! Any advice on what this could mean? He is just not acting himself and runs away when I try to go near him. He is usually so lovable and does not act this way!

I would get him checked out by the vet. I would ask that they check for any spinal/leg issues as well as any bladder problems. It could easily be nothing, but I like to play it safe.

I would also call the vet. Have you listened to his gut? Often times if see them trying to get comfortable and being unsuccessful, it's an indication of gas. Listen to his gut, if it sounds rather violent your bun may have a gas bubble and you should try infant strength Simithicone. But I'd call the vet no matter what as that is sort of strange behavior.

I agree with Cinnabun about the gas. The constant getting up, laying down is what my buns do during an episode of gas. It can be quite painful for them.

Just an update on Ted... he snapped out of it after only a few hours - he is now happy and back to his normal behavior I guess maybe it was gas pains, and I was very worried about him but I am so glad he's okay now Thanks again everyone for the advice!

Glad to hear he is ok! (BTW: he is SUPER cute!!) For the future, you might want to invest in some infant strength Simithicone. It can be bought at any drug store and normally comes with a small dropper to fed it to them.
