I had the bunnies spayed/neutered a week ago. They’re hopping around perfectly fine and as happy as can be. Their wounds look like they’re healing nicely and they’ve been eating and pooping champs. They’re still friendly and loving like they were before… EXCEPT.

They are pooping everywhere. Before I had them in to the vet, they were about 85% in the box. Now I’d say that the box is a preffered pooping location, but by no means exclusive. There doesn’t even seem to be another big pile.. just… random scattered everywhere. And since they’re together, I’m no certain if it’s both of them or just one.

The first couple of days I thought, well, maybe it’s just the medicine. Maybe you’re too hurt to hop to the litter box. Maybe you’re angry…

But now that it’s been a week and they’re fine, I don’t get it.

The first couple weeks after a spay/neuter, the hormones are going bonkers. Give it time, it will settle

Crazy poop wars. They should stop when the hormones calm down.

You also might need a bigger box, and or need to change it more often. Or less often. I have to change the girls every 2 days. If its 1 day, Lady gets all mark happy. If its 3 days, theres too much poop and she wont go in there/kicks it out when she jumps. Oy.

As soon as I post something, I walk out to find just one single poop outside the box this morning. Argh.

They just want to make me look bad, I swear! lol
