My Frankie is a little 9 week-old bunny who just discovered that if he pushes through on the little skirt (that covers up the legs of one of my chairs in the living room) he can go underneath it. I've put a barrier around the chair, but now every time I let him out of his cage he will obsessively go back to the same spot and start inspecting and digging to try and get underneath. He won't leave the spot unless I shoo him away, but he'll go back to it shortly thereafter. I've tried keeping his out-of-cage time confined to my office (where his cage is located) but I feel bad since it's not a huge room and he can't run around as much and binky. Any ideas? Thanks!

What you can do is make a "box maze" which is basically taking a bunch of boxes and taping them together. And you can put it under the couch. So it blocks off the area. Or if you don't mind him snooping around you can cut a whole in the box and let him have free reign under there. Sort of like this: http://budgetbunny.ca/2012/03/29/box-mazes/ =]

Wow, that box maze is cool.  I don't have anywhere he can go under but I might just make one for the heck of it.  I get such great ideas on this site!

I'll have to look into that too. Foo has suddenly decided that all she wants to do is get under the couch. It's barricaded off on the sides, but she will try to dig through the middle any time she's out. We shoo her away and keep her distracted when we can, but it's her new favorite game. That and trying to climb over the fish tank to get back there.

My first buns was obsessed with getting under any and everything (including the shed when she was playing in the backyard-- watch out for that!). My dad took some 2x4s and nailed them together in a rectangle. We put that under the couch. After she learned it was impossible to get under there, she stopped trying. It was super cheap and easy to do. Plus, she could dig at it and it wouldn't go anywhere.

Thank you for the box maze idea, Skipper's Mama. I went down to Target and asked for a bunch of free boxes from the back room and made a huge maze. Frankie loves it ^_^
