Ashes as lived with us for a week now & the 1st 2 days were spent locked in the pen learning to use the litterbox and was successful… All day long everyday so far if Ashes is out running about & has to go potty she/he goes right to the box BUT every morning when I wake up there is tons of poop all over the place in the pen.  The 1st couple morning I figured it was just marking cause Hunny had done the same thing in her pen when she 1st came to live with us & still does if/when I move her pen around but I have woken up to this every single morning since she has been here.  I wanted to keep a night light on last night but totally forgot so I’m gonna try & remember tonight but has anyone ever heard of a rabbit not being able to see in the dark?

Well, rabbits see best at dusk and dawn. I suppose just like human’s, they have difficulties seeing in the dark. There is usually some light in my house at night – not necessarily a night light but the street lights and moonlight and other city nighttime lights, so my house isn’t pitch black at night.

all six of mine do that, durring the day and free time they use the litterbox, but at night they just go where they feel like it
