I’ve been really stressed out thinking about getting married, potentially having to move, money and of course Thane I just lay on the floor feeling down. Thane was asleep and normally wouldn’t bother me, but he knew something wasn’t right. He woke up, bopped over to me and gave me reassuring kisses on the head. We have awesome buns!

Yes, they do seem to know when we’re off. And the bunny treatment of “kiss it make it better” always helps, doesn’t it?

Always. Don’t know what I’d do without him!

When we got one of our boys and our girl neutered/spayed I sat on the ground and bawledddddd because I felt so bad because my female, Sid, looked so depressed in her cage and I got way overly emotional but our bun who we had only had for a week came bounding up to my lap and crawled up me and was sniffing and licking my chin. It’s amazing how wonderful they can be when you need them the most!

Both of mine know when i need some snuggle time because im feeling down. they always make me smile…even when they are being little stinkers! i have to tell you all, i am one of the only “bunny people” in my area. The vet that i go to only sees my bunnies, but has become very knowledgeable with bunnies since i came to her. but i was working today and i was introduced to a couple who has 3 bunnies! we talked awhile and it was so great to meet (in person) more “bunny people!” i told them about this site and how awesome and knowledgeable you all are! i am truly thankful for you all and my bunnies, of course!!

It’s true, bunnies are the best! Huck will cuddle with me when I am low, sometimes… but she is a goofy bun, she likes to distract me from my problems. She takes the moments that I am upset as an opportunity to steal my shoe off to her room, to do crazy ear flipping tail giggling binkies, to smash a couple plates so I was forced to stop and clean them up rather than focus on my frustration (yep, that actually happened, not sure how though)….
I am glad you have your bun to help you out!

I think that bunnies are more aware of our feelings than some hoominz

Chacha has flopped next to me when I was asleep in the living room.

Hmm, my buns must be defective. They only come over to me when they want a treat. That’s all I’m good for, apparently. =\

That’s so sweet. When im feeling down, nothing cheers me up like my buns. They either make me smile with snuggles, tooth purs and kisses or they do something silly that makes me laugh. And who can be upset while watching the insanely cute bunny ear wash?

cute story… I was having a really bad day awhile back and just needed a good cry. I sat on my dining room floor and let the flood gates open. For awhile Dizzie just sat there and stared at me, but then all of a sudden, she put her little paw on my leg as if to say, “its ok mama, I’m here!” i had to staop crying and smile. it was the cutest thing i have ever witnessed!!

LBJ – Don’t feel too bad. If I was really upset and crying, I’d get the “OMG! What’s wrong with you?!?” wide eyed looks and both would take off for under the bed. LOL

However Lolli surprised me after Eddie passed. I was laying on the floor and started crying over Eddie and she came up and gave me kisses on my forehead. Which of course made me cry more. But that was LAST thing I ever expected from her. And….she hasn’t really done that since. She’s not a kisser.

Animals also know when something’s up with us. And it’s all the more sweeter when they try to comfort us.

I just recently found out how much bunnies can make us feel better. I was and have been stressed out about money issues lately (I only work one job during the summer, as my job at the Y is with the after school care program, and just switched jobs so I have only been working 12 hours a week). I am terrified of not having the money to pay my bills, and my school went and upped the price for a parking pass this year. The day I found that out, I freaked out and just sat down and cried. Foo came over and cuddled with me and let me cry on her- not just a few tears, the poor bun was wet by the time I was done. I musta dozed off on the floor with her, because I woke up to her sniffing my face and licking my arm. She stayed with me the whole time! Having her to snuggle with and knowing that she knew all I needed was a good cry and a warm bunny made all the difference.
