I've looked at some of the past forum posts about bonding a third bunny and I understand that it's very challenging. However, we found this bunny that is so irresistibly cute (isn't that always the case). We haven't yet introduced our existing bunnies, Tula and George, to him but we would before making any commitments.
We also just moved into a new apartment, and our bunnies haven't yet been given free-rein of the place (they're in an exercise pen). On one hand, this seems like a great opportunity to introduce a third bunny, since no one has marked their territory. On the other hand, I'm worried that they may be still a little stressed from the move (although they don't really seem that stressed). So, to pose this as a multiple choice question, is it:
(a) a great idea to take advantage of a new apartment to introduce a new bunny
(b) a terrible idea to introduce a new bunny when the existing bunnies may be stressed from moving
(c) a terrible idea to introduce a third bunny, period. Are you crazy? Trios hardly ever work.
Oh, by the way, we do have space to house the bunnies separately, but we'd really prefer it if they all got along.
Thanks for your help!
