Those of us who have had our bunnies spayed/neutered know how nervous and anxious we can get before the surgery. So I just want to offer encouragement and happy healthy healing vibes for Lilly, and for LillyBear - I'm sending peace, calm and happy good wishes your way.
Let us know how it goes. I'm sure everything will be fine. |

yay Lillybear!! I know how tough it is, when I took my first lil boy to the vet I even got very teary eyed because I was afraid he would think I was abandoning him...but when I went to pick him up he was a happy sleepy bunny!! I'm sure your little bun will have a very easy spay |

Lillybear- I should be hopping on here on and off tomorrow during the day (thank god when the boss is out of town on a friday!) I am here for the emotional support if you need it. I know I needed it when Soph got spayed. Remember to bring your tshirt or her blankie like we talked away! |

awe thanks you guys you are too sweet. I didn't have time to come on here all day, I have been busy with Lilly. I am worried right now because she will only eat hay when I shove (literally) it in her face, and her favorite veggie lettuce she took only one bite of! I cant get her to take any water.. she seems to be doing well aside. She was still hopping around. I was so amazed! She was trying to get out of her carrier when I picked her up and then hopped around when we got home.! She is doing worse now though which started around 9pm, I think the pain got worse for her . The doctor wouldn't send me home with anything, he said he gave her an injection that should last.. but my poor Lilly is feeling it now.. But thanks you guys :o I will let you know how things look in the morning! |

I got her to eat some more hay around 4am and a lettuce leaf. But I feel so sad now she is laying there chattering her teeth because of pain. : ( |

Aww, I hope Lilly's feeling better quickly. Is there a clinic where you could get some pain reliever for her?
Healing vibes to both of you... |

Well one good sign. Lilly just did a flop lol. She still doesn't want to eat much, but I have gotten her to take some more lettuce, a few pieces of hay, and a quarter of a yogurt drop. When she flopped I could see her scar, I think she tore out two of her stitches, I only see one left. The doctor said not to worry about that though, as he put a second layer of dissolvable stitches underneath.
I hope she starts feeling better soon.. I want my bunny back!

I'm glad the surgery went well. It's good that she's eating some, but it sounds like she could be eating more. Keep an eye and if her eating isn't improved by tomorrow, call the vet since he might give you critical care or have you bring her in for meds. |

WHEW! I know the surgery is tougher on females, so they have a little longer recovery time, but during that time, it sure can cause anxiety. I'm so glad she's doing better! |
